What was WAGMI Miami?
WAGMI Miami was described by its organizer as an 11th-year blockchain and Web3 gathering hosted by the founders of the North American Bitcoin Conference. The organizer called WAGMI its flagship event, while the release headline used the phrase “The Premier Blockchain and DeFi Gathering.” “Premier” is promotional positioning, not an independent ranking of Miami events. When was the event?
The organizer’s announcements give different start dates. A January 17 release lists January 21–24, 2025. An agenda release dated January 14 lists January 22–24 and says the two days of full programming were January 23 and 24. The publications do not explain the difference, so neither date range should be treated as definitively reconciled.

What was on the announced program?
The January announcements described keynotes, workshops, panels, networking and an exhibition hall. The agenda highlighted a mayoral proclamation ceremony, a talk on borrowing backed by crypto, discussion of crypto market activity and management, asset tokenization, and an omni-chain DeFi ecosystem.
Organizers also said the conference would address challenges including scalability, energy use, regulatory uncertainty, user experience and adoption, security, interoperability, market volatility, and legal and compliance hurdles. These were announced subjects, not a guarantee that every issue received equal treatment or that every listed session took place.

Who were the announced partners?
The January 17 release said sponsors and partners would present products and services in the exhibition hall. It named Kraken, Stake.us, Crypto Banter, IBC and DNA Fund. A November announcement additionally named Cointelegraph, City of Miami Florida, Lazy, Altcoinist, CoinFund, Luma, Sapien, HyperChain Capital and the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, among others. These are partner names as announced by WAGMI; their inclusion does not establish endorsement or an affiliate relationship.

WAGMI projected more than 10,000 prospective attendees from over 100 countries in its November 2024 announcement. That was a forward-looking organizer estimate, not confirmed attendance. In its January 14, 2025 agenda release, WAGMI said tickets were 90% sold out and started at $1,250. That was a dated sales statement and starting price at the time—not a final sales result or a current offer. The cited announcements do not establish a final, independently verified attendance total.
