What VYUG announced
The headline combines two related but separate developments. VYUG announced public beta access to its Nexara virtual environment on August 21, 2024. A separate September 3 report said the beta was live and that an existing token airdrop would be extended. The dates should not be read as one simultaneous launch.
In its beta announcement, VYUG described Nexara as the first futuristic city in its metaverse and said the public beta followed an alpha phase involving its developers and testers. The company presented the beta as a wider-access stage in which users could explore the environment and provide feedback before a broader release. See VYUG’s August 21 announcement.
What the beta was supposed to include
VYUG promoted several intended uses for Nexara:
- Multiplayer gaming and social interaction in a 3D environment.
- Virtual classrooms for business, academic and school training.
- Virtual storefronts for commerce.
- Virtual meetings and shared spaces.
These are features and use cases claimed by VYUG, not independent test results. The available announcements do not establish performance, device compatibility, user capacity, graphics quality or production readiness. “Beta” ordinarily means usable software that remains under development and may change or lose features.

The original airdrop terms
VYUG’s August 13, 2024 promotion said the airdrop would run from August 15 through September 15, 2024. It described a distribution of 175 million VYUG tokens—characterized as 5% of the stated total supply—and a separate 5,000 USDT jackpot. The announcement is available at VYUG’s airdrop release.
“Five percent of supply” was the campaign pool, not an allocation of 5% to every participant. The published material does not establish the per-user formula, eligibility checklist, anti-sybil rules, claim process, vesting or transfer restrictions. The jackpot was a promotional prize distinct from the token pool.
What “extended airdrop” meant
The September 3 TechBullion article reported that VYUG was extending the campaign because of engagement and that it might continue beyond the original September 15 date. It did not provide a definitive replacement closing date. Accordingly, claims that the September announcement guaranteed a particular later deadline overstate the evidence. Wallet promotions mentioned in September
The same report said VYUG Wallet users could receive discounts on VYUG-token purchases and early access to new features and updates. The announcement did not state the discount percentage, duration, geographic or account restrictions, custody model, supported networks or whether those offers survived 2024. It should therefore be treated as a time-specific promotional claim, not a current benefit.

Was the airdrop still available?
No. VYUG’s October 25 notice says the campaign is closed and that its wallet application no longer displays the airdrop button. Anyone encountering a 2024 claim page should first determine whether it is an archived announcement or an active, officially documented program. The closure notice is at VYUG’s official announcement.
What VYUG says about the token today
VYUG’s current token page describes VYUG as a utility and governance token, gives a stated total supply of 3.5 billion and describes Solana origins with integrations or bridging involving Ethereum, Polygon and BNB networks. Those are current project statements, not independent confirmation of supply, deployment, liquidity or market value. The page is VYUG Token.

- Confirm that the promotion is not the closed 2024 campaign and begin only from an official VYUG domain.
- Never disclose a seed phrase or private key. Be wary of unrestricted wallet approvals.
- Check whether a request demands deposits, purchases, gas payments, referrals or identity documents, and understand why each is needed.
- Look for a current contract address, tokenomics, audit and actual trading venues rather than assuming an allocation has cash value.
- Remember that beta software can change or become unavailable, and a token allocation does not guarantee liquidity, price appreciation or profitability.
Documentation and privacy caveats
VYUG’s current terms of use (updated June 6, 2025) say the service is intended for users aged 13 and older, with parental or guardian consent for ages 13–17. The terms also describe cryptocurrency, NFT and in-app transaction features as forthcoming or under development at the initial launch. That wording sits uneasily beside promotional pages discussing tokens and wallet activity; it is a documentation inconsistency, not proof that either page is false.
Its privacy policy says the service may collect account and participation information and potentially identity-verification data through a KYV process. Users should evaluate those data consequences before opening an account or submitting documents.
Bottom line for readers
VYUG genuinely announced a Nexara beta in August 2024 and reported an extension of its existing airdrop in September. The original promotion involved a stated 175 million-token pool and 5,000 USDT jackpot, but the detailed allocation mechanics were not established in the announcements. VYUG’s October 25, 2024 notice closes the practical question: that airdrop is over. Current token utility, blockchain and wallet claims remain project statements requiring independent verification, not reasons to treat the expired campaign as an investment opportunity.
