Celebrity Net Worth estimated it at $400,000 in an update dated August 27, 2026, but does not provide a transparent calculation. The clearest documented financial snapshot is from 2014: Young’s Chapter 11 petition reported estimated assets of $500,001 to $1 million and liabilities of $1.001 million to $10 million. Those filing-era ranges do not show his finances today.
What is Vince Young’s net worth?
The $400,000 figure is a third-party estimate, not a verified balance sheet. Celebrity Net Worth labels that amount as Young’s net worth and dates its update to August 27, 2026. The available profile does not explain how it calculated the estimate, so it should be treated as an attributed estimate rather than a confirmed current total.
There is no independently verified current figure in the cited reporting. In particular, the 2014 bankruptcy filing cannot be used to calculate a present-day net worth: it reports broad ranges at that time, and does not establish what Young later earned, spent, owned, or owed.
How the reported figures differ
| Figure | What it describes | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| $400,000 | Celebrity Net Worth estimate, updated August 27, 2026 (Celebrity Net Worth) | A secondary-site estimate; calculation methodology is not stated in the available profile. |
| $34 million | Reported NFL earnings over six seasons, according to the Los Angeles Times in 2014 (Los Angeles Times) | Career earnings reported by the newspaper, not current net worth or take-home pay after taxes and expenses. |
| $500,001–$1 million in assets; $1.001 million–$10 million in liabilities | Ranges reported from Young’s 2014 Chapter 11 petition by NFL.com (NFL.com) | Filing-era estimates, not a current balance sheet. |
| Up to $57.79 million; at least $30 million earned | Maximum value of Young’s rookie contract and reported earnings from it, in NFL.com’s 2012 coverage (NFL.com) | Contract and earnings reporting; neither amount establishes how much wealth he retained. |
Why NFL earnings do not equal net worth
Young was the Tennessee Titans’ third overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft, and NFL.com reported in 2012 that his rookie deal had a maximum value of $57.79 million and that he had earned at least $30 million from it. The Los Angeles Times later reported $34 million in earnings across six NFL seasons. Those are different reported career-earnings figures from different reports; neither is a measure of money still held.
#1 Best Overall
Net worth is the value of assets minus liabilities at a particular time. Gross career earnings do not account for taxes, spending, investment gains or losses, debts, or later income. Without a current, documented accounting of those items, a career-earnings total cannot confirm a present-day net-worth estimate.
What the 2014 bankruptcy filing does—and does not—show
NFL.com reported that Young filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2014. The petition gave estimated asset and liability ranges rather than precise totals. The ranges are evidence of what was reported in that filing period; they do not prove that Young remains insolvent or has the same assets or debts now.
Rank #2
The same NFL.com report described a $1.8 million loan connected to the 2011 NFL lockout and said the lender claimed the balance had grown to $2.5 million with interest. That is one reported debt-related dispute, not a complete explanation of Young’s financial position.
What was reported about Young’s financial adviser
In a 2012 lawsuit, Young accused former adviser Ronnie T. Peoples of misappropriating at least $5.5 million from earnings between 2006 and 2011, according to NFL.com. The report also said the adviser’s lawyer disputed the accusation. It is an allegation and a contested claim, not a proven accounting of what happened to Young’s money.

Career context
Young played quarterback for the Tennessee Titans and was selected third overall in the 2006 NFL Draft. The Titans released him in 2011, and the team’s profile notes two Pro Bowl selections (Tennessee Titans). These career facts explain the football context behind the earnings reports; they do not verify a current net-worth figure.
