How much is Verizon’s student discount?
For eligible Unlimited plans, Verizon lists $10 per month off one qualifying phone line or $25 per month off two. The $25 maximum is the total discount for two lines, not $25 per line. Verizon lists Unlimited Ultimate, Unlimited Plus, and Unlimited Welcome as qualifying plans. Its Simplicity offer uses a different structure: a 10% discount.

Verizon describes the mobile amounts as monthly savings. The FAQ does not state a separate publication date for these terms, and offers can change; check Verizon’s current terms before changing service.
Who can qualify for the mobile discount?
Verizon’s student offer is for actively enrolled students at qualifying U.S. higher-education institutions. The eligible student must be the Verizon account owner or account manager and verify enrollment through ID.me. Verizon says active undergraduate, graduate, vocational, and online students may qualify.

- The account may have no more than two qualifying phone lines. An account with three or more phone lines is ineligible.
- The student discount applies to a maximum of two eligible lines and is limited to one discount per account.
- Prepaid, already-discounted, and promotional plans are excluded. Verizon also says the discount cannot be combined with most other promotions.
- Verizon says the offer can continue for up to four years if the student passes annual eligibility reviews.
Adding a third phone line can make the account ineligible, so check the account’s line count and discount status before making that change.
How to check eligibility and enroll
- Confirm that the account has one or two phone lines and an eligible plan, and that you are its owner or manager.
- Use Verizon’s student-discount registration flow and complete the student enrollment verification requested through ID.me.
- Review the plan and bill-change summary in My Verizon before confirming. Verify which lines receive the discount and whether another promotion will be removed or cannot be combined.
Does Verizon still offer free Disney+ to students?
No—not through the six-month student-related Disney+ promotion described in Verizon’s offer terms. Enrollment had to be completed by May 31, 2026, and Verizon says the qualifying legacy plans are no longer available to add. The student mobile discount and the Disney+ promotion were separate offers; qualifying for one did not make Disney+ part of the student discount.

The expired promotion covered Disney+ Premium (No Ads) only. Verizon’s FAQ states it did not include ESPN+ or any Hulu plan. It was not a permanent free subscription: after the promotional period, the subscription could become paid, and changing to an ineligible plan could trigger a charge.
What to check before changing a Disney+ or Verizon plan
If your account already has a Disney-related Verizon perk, inspect the plan and billing details in My Verizon before switching plans or assuming the perk will continue. Verizon warns that existing Disney, Hulu, or ESPN subscriptions may not automatically be replaced or paused when a Verizon perk is enrolled, which can leave overlapping subscriptions and charges. Check the terms for the specific offer on the account and review the bill-change summary before confirming.

Can students save on Verizon Fios too?
Verizon lists a separate 10% monthly discount for qualifying Fios Home Internet plans. It requires active enrollment at an accredited, degree-granting U.S. college or university, a qualifying Fios plan, and ID.me verification. Verizon says the Fios discount is limited to one per account and generally cannot be combined with most offers. It is independent of the mobile discount and does not restore eligibility for the expired Disney+ promotion.
