On February 26, 2024, Vantage Data Centers announced that Dana Adams would become president of North America and David Howson president of EMEA. The company also said Antoine Boniface, then EMEA president, would move into a newly created regional chief commercial officer role. Vantage presented the changes as preparation for continued growth tied to cloud and AI services.
What roles did Vantage announce?
Vantage said Adams would lead North American market development, sales, construction and operations. Based in Denver, he would report to executive vice president Jeff Tench.
Howson would lead the corresponding activities in EMEA. Based in London, he would report to Vantage president and CEO Sureel Choksi.
Boniface’s new EMEA commercial remit covered commercial strategy and customer expansion, including site selection, market intelligence, sales and sales engineering. Vantage described the role as a regional chief commercial officer position.

Who are Dana Adams and David Howson?
Dana Adams
In its February 2024 announcement, Vantage described Adams as bringing “nearly 18 years of experience in the data center sector.” A trade report published the following day said his prior employers included AirTruck, Iron Mountain and Digital Realty. The experience duration is the company’s description, not an independently audited measure.
David Howson
Vantage described Howson as having “more than 30 years of experience in international internet infrastructure.” The next-day trade report listed Congruex, Six Degrees Group, Zayo Group and Level 3 Communications among his previous employers. The duration is Vantage’s published description.

Why did Vantage make the appointments?
Vantage framed the hires as a way to prepare its two largest regions for another phase of growth. CEO Sureel Choksi said the additions came “at a pivotal time” as Vantage scaled its leadership team to keep pace with what he called customers’ “exponential growth driven by cloud and AI services globally.” That is the company’s stated rationale; it does not establish that the appointments caused later growth.

The appointment details above describe what Vantage announced on February 26, 2024. The company’s leadership page, accessed for this article, lists Choksi as president and CEO and Adams as president of North America. Because that page snapshot does not establish the current status of every role discussed here, readers should not assume the 2024 announcement alone confirms those other roles remain unchanged.
