The Atlanta Journal-Constitution identified the Ms. J’s Tennessee Cajun fried chicken sandwich as a signature dish. It was topped with macaroni and cheese, yams, and broccoli slaw. The paper reported that Dennis smoked brisket, turkey legs, and other meats at 200 F and described his attention to the distance between the coals and meat.

The available reporting establishes the 2024 opening, but not the business’s current operating status, hours, or present location. How does J’s Smokehouse relate to Patton’s other businesses?
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution placed the trailer near JPat Management and J’s Kitchen Culinary Incubator, Patton’s shared-kitchen venture. FOX 5 reported in August 2024 that the incubator had been established in 2016. The incubator is separate from J’s Smokehouse.
