The last date to apply for the Union Public Service Commission’s NDA/NA I 2024 examination was January 9, 2024. That application window has closed; it is not open in October 2026. Candidates considering a future examination should check UPSC’s latest notice and current application portal rather than rely on a recycled 2024 application link.

What was the NDA/NA I 2024 registration deadline?

Contemporaneous reports said registration began on December 20, 2023, and that January 9, 2024, was the last date to apply for the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (I), 2024. The Indian Express reported the opening and deadline; The Economic Times also reported January 9 as the last date.

Because this is a past examination cycle, the deadline is useful as a historical date—not as a current application opportunity.

Do not confuse the 2024 deadline with the 2025 cycle

UPSC’s notice for NDA/NA I 2025 was dated December 11, 2024, and specified December 31, 2024, as that cycle’s application deadline. That date belongs to the 2025 examination, not NDA/NA I 2024. Read UPSC’s official NDA/NA I 2025 notice.

Where to check for a future application window

Use UPSC’s current examination notices and application portal for any later cycle. The Commission’s homepage directs examination applicants to the new application portal and lists NDA/NA I 2027 among forthcoming examinations. Check the notice for the specific cycle you intend to apply for; deadlines, eligibility, fees and instructions can differ between cycles. Visit UPSC’s official website.

The available official notice cited here is for 2025, so it does not establish the 2024 cycle’s detailed eligibility, fee, vacancy, exam schedule, correction window or form requirements. For a historical account of those details, consult the original 2024 notice rather than assuming the 2025 rules applied.
