Who needed to submit DAF-I
Candidates who qualified in the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2024 had to apply again for admission to the Civil Services (Main) Examination by completing DAF-I online. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) notice dated 3 July 2024 set the submission window from 3 July through 12 July 2024, until 6:00 p.m. Candidates first had to register on the relevant page of the UPSC online application site before filling in the form. Documents and fee required
DAF-I had to be submitted with scanned documents or certificates supporting the candidate’s date of birth, category and educational qualification, along with the required examination fee. The prescribed deadline applied to both the form and its supporting documents. UPSC notice, 3 July 2024
What UPSC said about late submission
The notice warned: “Any delay in submission of the DAF-I or documents in support beyond the prescribed date will not be allowed and will lead to cancellation of the candidature for the CSE-2024.”
