Applications for the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission’s 2025 Assistant Professor recruitment are closed. The commission advertised 1,253 Government Degree College posts under Advertisement No. A-7/E-1/2025; the application and fee deadline was October 6, 2025. What the October 6 deadline applied to
The notice opened online applications on September 4, 2025, and set October 6, 2025, as the final date to pay the examination fee and submit the application. Candidates could correct or modify an application and reconcile a fee payment through October 13, 2025. The advertised count was 1,253 vacancies, subject to increase or decrease according to the commission’s requirements. Is registration open now?
No. This is the 2025 recruitment cycle, not an open 2026 application window. UPPSC’s homepage search listing showed a mains admit-card notice for A-7/E-1/2025 through October 1, 2026; that later-stage notice is further evidence that the application period is not currently open. Check UPPSC’s official notice listings for any new recruitment announcement rather than relying on the old October 6 headline.
What candidates needed before applying
One Time Registration (OTR) was mandatory before submitting an application. UPPSC says an applicant’s OTR number is the only registration number used to apply for a Commission post. The commission’s homepage provides current OTR guidance, and its OTR user manual explains the system.
