A Scroll report published on 19 June 2024 described the release and said candidates could download hall tickets from the official UPPSC website. That notice is historical. The reported test window was 28 June to 18 July 2024, so it has closed, and the download route described at the time should not be treated as a working link today.
This article sets out what the 2024 notice covered, the steps candidates were given to retrieve their cards, why the old route may no longer work, and where to check current UPPSC notices.
What the 2024 notice covered
- Stage: Stage II of the Exam 2023 for the APS post.
- Tests named in the notice: the Hindi shorthand test and the Hindi type test.
- Release reported: 19 June 2024, according to the Scroll report.
- Official source named: the UPPSC website, which the report gave as uppsc.up.nic.in.
The report gave a general test window and two daily shifts. It did not give individual candidates’ test dates, reporting times or exam centres. Those details appeared only on each candidate’s own admit card, so a printed card from 2024 is the only reliable record of them.

Because the window has passed, these entries are useful for understanding how the 2024 stage was organised, not for planning a future sitting.
How candidates were directed to download the card in 2024
The Scroll report gave the following sequence for retrieving the Stage II admit card:

- Open the UPPSC website at uppsc.up.nic.in in a web browser.
- On the homepage, select the APS Stage II admit-card link.
- Log in. The report did not describe the login fields, so candidates were expected to use the details the commission asked for on that page.
- Download the admit card.
- Take a printout and keep it for future reference.
The report also pointed to an official UPPSC route alongside this link. If a homepage link has moved, the official site’s current candidate section is the place to look, not a copy of the old page.
Why the 2024 route may not work today
- The test window has ended. Admit-card links for a closed stage are not kept as a dependable way to retrieve a card, and the report itself describes the 2024 dates as historical.
- The current notice listings do not show it. When checked for this article, UPPSC’s current notice pages showed later recruitment notices and candidate resources but did not list the 2024 APS card notice among current entries.
- Third-party copies are not official. A mirror or repost of the old link does not make it an official route, and it should not be used to download a card.
If you are looking for a card for an APS stage that is still open, the card will be published on the official site, and the notice for that stage will state its own dates.

Where to check current UPPSC notices
- Official website: uppsc.up.nic.in is the website the 2024 report named. Start from its homepage and look for the notices or recruitment section.
- Candidate resources: the current portal lists candidate resources, including admit-card and help-desk links.
- Verify the notice: match the exam name, the year and the stage on any notice you open against the wording in the official advertisement before acting on it.
What the 331 vacancy figure refers to
The Scroll report cited 331 APS vacancies for the recruitment in 2024. That is the only vacancy number available for this notice. The report does not break the total down by category or post, and it does not indicate whether later notifications changed it. Treat the figure as the number reported in June 2024 rather than as a current count.

The 2024 notice confirms that a Hindi type test was part of Stage II. A standard computer keyboard is a practical tool for practising typing speed and accuracy in Hindi. The report does not specify a keyboard layout, equipment model or any purchase requirement, and nothing in the available material indicates that UPPSC endorses a particular device. Any equipment rules for a future test would appear in the official notice for that test, so follow the instructions in that notice and on the admit card.
