How Umar Ashraf’s career began
A January 25, 2021 TechTimes profile reports that Ashraf moved to the United States as a child and grew up in New York. It says he started a property-services business at 18, but the venture did not succeed. He then turned toward trading.
Those details describe what TechTimes reported about his background; they should not be read as an independently audited biography. The profile also makes broad claims about his success and profitability, but the available material does not establish his trading results independently.
From trading to Stock Market Lab
Ashraf’s next reported step was Stock Market Lab, presented in the TechTimes profile as a trading-related venture. An earlier Business Deccan profile published October 11, 2020 described Stock Market Lab as a trading education community with more than 2,000 members at that time. That is a historical figure attributed to the publication, not a current membership count.

The available reporting does not establish whether Stock Market Lab still operates today. Its past description helps explain the context in which TradeZella emerged, but does not confirm the community’s present status.
Why TradeZella was created
Business Deccan’s 2020 profile said TradeZella was then in development as a tool to give traders feedback on their performance. Today, TradeZella’s official author page identifies Umar Ashraf as its founder, and its features page describes a platform for recording and reviewing trades through analytics and trade replay.

The distinction between a journal and a broker matters: TradeZella says users execute trades through their broker and transfer or connect the resulting data to the platform for tracking and analysis. The software is not where a user places a trade.
What TradeZella offers now
TradeZella’s product is built around reviewing trading activity. Its stated functions include trade analytics and replay, which let users examine recorded trades and assess performance. The company says it supports connections with more than 500 brokers; that figure is displayed by TradeZella, accessed in 2026, and is not an independently measured count.

The company’s pricing page also displays 20.2 billion trades journaled and more than 100,000 traders. These are vendor-reported figures shown by TradeZella in 2026; the page does not provide a specific measurement date for either number.

Features and limits vary by plan; the company’s page describes differences in connected accounts, AI credits and agents, replay access, and automated backtesting limits.

The documented arc is a move from an unsuccessful early business into trading, then into trader education and software. TradeZella’s current product description connects the venture to a practical problem: keeping trade records and using them to review performance.
That product and career history does not establish that TradeZella guarantees better results, nor does it verify Ashraf’s trading profitability. A trade journal can organize information for a user to analyze; it is not a substitute for a broker, financial advice, or evidence that a trading approach will succeed.
