Ultimatix HRMS Software can mean two different things: TCS’s internal Ultimatix employee portal, or the commercial Ultimatix HCM Suite marketed by Orange Technolab Pvt. Ltd. The commercial product is an HR, payroll, attendance, and employee-services platform for organizations; TCS describes its Ultimatix as an internal intranet, not a public HRMS product for outside companies to license. If you need a TCS employee login, the commercial product is not the same service.
What is Ultimatix HRMS Software?
In this article, “Ultimatix HRMS” refers to the commercial Ultimatix HCM Suite associated with Orange Technolab. HRMS (human resource management system) commonly describes software for employee records and administrative workflows such as payroll, leave, and attendance. HCM (human capital management) is often used for a broader set of workforce processes, including recruitment, development, and performance. Orange markets Ultimatix as a suite spanning the employee lifecycle, from hiring through employment changes and exit processes.
Product names in search results can include “Ultimatix HRMS,” “Ultimatix Payroll & HRMS,” “Ultimatix HCM Suite,” and “Orange Payroll & HRMS.” Those names are associated with the Orange Technolab product, not proof of an affiliation with Tata Consultancy Services. Orange describes the suite as intended for SME and enterprise organizations and says it offers cloud and on-premises deployment. These are vendor descriptions, so buyers should confirm the modules, deployment options, and contract scope directly. Orange Technolab’s product overview and company and suite information provide its current public descriptions.
TCS Ultimatix versus Orange Ultimatix HCM Suite
TCS’s annual report calls Ultimatix its intranet portal. TCS materials describe internal workflows including HR, finance, project management, employee self-service, and reporting. Orange’s terms identify its Ultimatix Mobile Payroll Application as a service operated by Orange Technolab. The shared name does not establish a product relationship.

Features Orange advertises
The following is a map of vendor-marketed capabilities, not an independent assessment of whether every module is included in every edition or contract. Ask Orange to demonstrate the workflows you would actually buy.
Employee records and core HR
The vendor describes an employee data center for maintaining staff records. Before migrating sensitive records, verify custom fields, document storage, history tracking, organizational hierarchy, role-based permissions, audit logs, import and export formats, and retention and deletion controls. Public product information does not establish a detailed data model or API specification.
Payroll and statutory processing
Orange describes payroll processing that can use attendance data and references payslips, payroll reports, deductions, and statutory items. Its contact page lists Indian items such as Provident Fund, ESI, Professional Tax, income tax, and LWF, alongside international terms including NHIF, NSSF, PAYE, and LST. That list does not establish that each jurisdiction or rule set is available in every configuration. Confirm supported countries, tax-year handling, rule-update responsibilities, payroll calendars, local payslip requirements, compliance reports, and bank-file formats with the vendor. Orange’s contact page describes its payroll and statutory claims.
During evaluation, test salary processing, allowances and deductions, loans and advances, bonuses, overtime, leave encashment, and exit settlement against representative employee cases. Require a parallel payroll run and resolve discrepancies before production; incorrect employee classifications, statutory settings, attendance imports, or tax configuration can produce inaccurate pay.
Attendance and time tracking
The vendor markets digital attendance, biometric integration, and mobile attendance options that include GPS and selfie-based checks, as well as attendance correction. See its digital-attendance page and mobile-app description. Test missed-punch correction and approval, multiple work locations, shift and overtime rules, night shifts, holidays, grace periods, and how attendance reaches payroll. Ask whether GPS or selfie checks can be configured, how inaccurate location readings are handled, and whether attendance can be recorded offline.

Ideal for offices, shops, and small businesses.
GPS and selfie attendance are also a workplace-monitoring decision, not just a convenience feature. Assess employee notice and consent requirements, data retention, false rejections, device access, and whether location tracking is appropriate for the roles and jurisdictions involved. Ask how biometric information is stored and protected, and whether workers can use another attendance method where monitoring is unsuitable.
Leave and employee self-service
Orange says employees can view payslips and leave details, request attendance corrections, and cancel leave through its employee dashboard. The mobile-app material also lists profile access and salary-slip viewing. Confirm which functions are available in the browser and app, what employees can update, how leave balances and approval chains work, whether managers have self-service tools, and which notifications are included. The vendor’s descriptions are available on its product site and mobile-app page.

Recruitment, onboarding, and talent
The recruitment material lists requisitions, career-portal postings, applicant sourcing, and applicant tracking. The vendor also markets onboarding and talent-management functions, including a skills matrix, and mentions performance, training, rewards, and recognition. Review the recruitment and talent-management pages. Ask for a demonstration of candidate communications, interview scheduling, resume handling, offer letters, onboarding tasks, review cycles, training plans, and reporting. Orange mentions AI integration for recruitment and letter generation, but public material does not establish the models, controls, availability by country, or independent performance results.
Expenses, travel, help desk, and workflow
The suite’s company information lists expense, loan, claim, travel, and workflow functions. Orange describes its help desk as supporting ticket assignment, issue tracking, reminders, and audit trails. Verify expense-policy configuration, mobile receipt uploads, mileage, approval limits, queue separation by department, escalation rules, and whether tickets can be linked to employee records. See the vendor’s suite overview and help-desk description.
Mobile access and reporting
Orange says its mobile app is available for Android and iOS and lists employee profiles, attendance, regularization, and salary-slip access. Do not infer current app versions, ratings, or permissions from the feature description. In a live demo, test login and identity management, leave approval, payslip retrieval, notifications, GPS behavior, attendance correction, supported devices, offline behavior, and administrator controls. Ask the vendor to show the reports and exports needed by payroll, finance, HR, and auditors.
Ultimatix HRMS pricing and how to request a demo
Orange does not publish a dependable standard price list on its official product pages; it directs prospective buyers to contact and demo routes. A quote may depend on employee count, modules, geography, deployment model, integrations, and customization, but confirm those pricing factors with the vendor rather than assuming a particular commercial model. Start with the official contact page.

Third-party directory figures conflict: Capterra and Software Advice show $0.01 per user per year, SoftwareSuggest shows a starting signal of $1 per employee per month, and an ExportersIndia marketplace listing shows ₹80,000 per piece. Techjockey says price is available on request. None of those figures is a reliable confirmed quote from Orange, so do not use them for budgeting. The listings are at Capterra, Software Advice, SoftwareSuggest, ExportersIndia, and Techjockey. Orange’s terms also note that product descriptions, pricing, and availability may change or contain inaccuracies; confirm commercial details in writing.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Deployment, security, and scale
Orange says the suite can be deployed in the cloud or on premises and claims it can serve organizations ranging from approximately 50 to 50,000 users. Treat that as a vendor statement, not a verified performance benchmark. The vendor also references security reviews and ISO 27001/27002, SOC 2, and CERT-In-related credentials or memberships. Ask which entity, product, hosting environment, or service each credential covers, and request current certificates, scope statements, and expiry dates. The vendor’s claims are presented on its about page.
- Where will employee and payroll data be hosted, and can the organization select a region?
- What encryption is used in transit and at rest? Are SSO, MFA, and role-based access controls supported?
- What are the backup, disaster-recovery, recovery-point objective (RPO), and recovery-time objective (RTO) arrangements?
- Can Orange provide a penetration-test summary, vulnerability-management policy, and list of subprocessors?
- How are data exports, deletion, and access handled when a contract ends?
- For on-premises deployment, who is responsible for infrastructure, patching, upgrades, backups, and recovery testing?
Who may find Ultimatix worth evaluating?
Ultimatix may be worth a closer look for an organization that needs payroll, attendance, leave, and employee self-service together, particularly if its operations are India-centered and it wants to discuss local payroll workflows. Its advertised cloud and on-premises options may also interest buyers with differing deployment requirements. The trade-off is that configuration and a broad suite can mean more implementation, testing, and ongoing maintenance than a standardized, low-touch service.
It may be a weaker fit for a buyer that requires transparent self-service pricing, extensive independently verified customer reviews, well-documented public APIs, a broad independently verified integration ecosystem, deep payroll coverage across many countries, or a fast implementation with little vendor involvement. Public review evidence is limited: directory pages do not provide a substantial basis for judging customer satisfaction. See Capterra’s listing and Software Advice’s profile. A buyer should request references from organizations with comparable size, geography, payroll complexity, and deployment model.

1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteHow to evaluate and implement it
Use a structured proof of concept rather than relying on a feature list. Include the people who own payroll, HR, IT, finance, security, and employee privacy decisions.
- Define scope: Identify employee groups, countries, legal entities, payroll calendars, attendance methods, modules, integrations, and reporting needs. Ask Orange to mark which items are standard, optional, customized, or unavailable.
- Validate data migration: Map employee identifiers, history, leave balances, documents, organizational structure, and payroll opening balances. Test imports and exports, permissions, record corrections, and retention requirements.
- Test real attendance cases: Demonstrate biometric and mobile workflows as applicable, missed punches, shift changes, location failures, approvals, overtime, leave, and payroll cutoffs. Reconcile attendance records against payroll inputs.
- Run parallel payroll: Process representative cases in the existing system and Ultimatix for the same pay period. Compare gross pay, deductions, taxes, statutory contributions, net pay, payslips, bank files, and reports; investigate every material difference before launch.
- Complete security and privacy review: Obtain current documentation on hosting, access controls, encryption, audit logs, backups, recovery, subprocessors, monitoring, and data deletion. Review GPS, selfie, and biometric attendance against local rules and employee notices.
- Conduct user acceptance testing: Have employees, managers, payroll staff, and HR complete their normal tasks, including leave requests, payslip access, corrections, approvals, and support tickets. Record failures and require owners and resolution dates.
- Agree the exit plan: Confirm data-export formats, timing, fees if any, deletion confirmation, and access during transition before signing. Put implementation scope, service levels, update responsibilities, and support arrangements in the contract.
Alternatives to compare by use case
Choose alternatives based on the work your organization needs to solve, not just the number of modules in a list. These options are identified in software-directory comparisons; verify current product scope, availability, and pricing on each vendor’s official site before deciding.
