What changed in the UKPSC Upper PCS 2024 schedule?
The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) revised the preliminary-exam date for the Uttarakhand Combined State (Civil) Upper Subordinate Services Examination 2024, commonly called UKPSC Upper PCS 2024. The commission’s notice, dated 14 May 2024, changed the date by one week:

Why did UKPSC reschedule the exam?
UKPSC said the change was made for “unavoidable reasons.” The notice does not specify what those reasons were. The quoted English wording translates the general reason stated in the Hindi notice; it is not a separate English quotation.

Did the notice give an admit-card date?
No. The 14 May date-change notice does not state when admit cards would be issued or describe an admit-card process. It does not establish whether UKPSC published that information separately.

UKPSC’s exam-calendar index lists an “Exam Calendar 2024-2025” published on 26 April 2024, followed by versions published on 30 August and 7 November 2024, as well as later updates. The index establishes those listing dates; it does not, by itself, show a further change to the July 2024 preliminary-exam date. Check UKPSC’s exam-calendar index.
The UKPSC-hosted 2024 advertisement describes three successive selection stages: the objective preliminary examination, the written main examination, and an interview. Candidates consulting exam-preparation books should check that the material matches the relevant exam year and the scheme and syllabus in the 2024 advertisement.
