What the 2024 UKPSC calendar said
The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) calendar, updated on 30 August 2024, listed the Principal/Principal, Government Inter College (GIC)/Government Girls Inter College (GGIC) Limited Departmental Examination 2024. It gave 29 September 2024 as the proposed date for the main examination. The calendar is the primary source for that proposed date: UKPSC Examination Calendar (Updated), 30 August 2024.

“Proposed” matters: the calendar entry establishes the date UKPSC listed at that time, not that the examination was ultimately held on that date.
When admit cards were reported to be available
In a report published on 30 August 2024, Scroll said candidates could download their hall tickets from the UKPSC website beginning 14 September 2024. That was the planned start date for the 2024 release, not confirmation that a 2024 admit-card page remains accessible now. How the reported 2024 download process worked
Scroll’s report described these steps for the 2024 admit-card release:
- Visit the UKPSC website.
- Choose the Principal admit-card link.
- Enter the required login details.
- Download the hall ticket and print it.
These are the steps reported for that release; they do not establish a current download route. For current notices or any later process, consult UKPSC’s Exam Calendar and relevant official recruitment notices.

Scroll reported that the recruitment drive aimed to fill 692 Principal posts. This figure comes from Scroll’s 2024 report; it is not shown in the official calendar entry cited above.
The UKPSC calendar index lists later updates to the 2024–25 calendar, including updates dated 7 November and 2 December 2024. The available sources do not establish whether either update changed this particular exam date. They also do not verify whether the examination took place on 29 September 2024, whether it was postponed, or whether the 2024 admit card can still be accessed. The calendar and report do not provide the detailed eligibility criteria, syllabus, exam pattern or selection stages; use a specific official recruitment notice or syllabus for those details.
