UKPSC PCS 2024 Mains registration is closed. The application window ran from September 7 to September 21, 2024, so the old PCS Mains 2024 apply link is no longer a current application route. For live notices and later-stage information, use the official UKPSC website.
What happened to UKPSC PCS 2024 Mains registration?
The registration was for the Uttarakhand Combined State Civil/Upper Subordinate Services Examination 2024, commonly called UKPSC PCS 2024. Contemporary reports said candidates could apply through the commission’s website between September 7 and September 21, 2024. That window has ended; these dates are not instructions for a current cycle.
The UKPSC portal later listed an online preference window for the 2024 examination from December 16, 2025, to January 9, 2026. That was a later stage, not a reopening of Mains registration. Check the portal for notices that are live now.
What were the announced Mains exam dates and centres?
The 2024 Mains examination was scheduled for November 16–19, 2024, at centres in Haridwar and Haldwani. These are historical schedule details, not upcoming exam dates.

What fees were reported for the 2024 application?
Scroll’s September 2024 reports listed the following fees for that registration window. They should not be treated as fees for another UKPSC examination cycle.
| Category reported | Fee for the 2024 window |
|---|---|
| Unreserved | ₹272.30 |
| Uttarakhand OBC | ₹172.30 |
| Uttarakhand SC/ST | ₹122.30 |
| EWS | ₹172.30 |
| Persons with disabilities | ₹22.30 |
| Eligible orphan children residing in voluntary or government homes in Uttarakhand | No fee |
What did the historical application process involve?
Scroll’s September 7, 2024 report described this route for the closed application window:
- Visit the UKPSC website and open the PCS Mains 2024 link.
- Log in and complete and submit the application form.
- Pay the applicable fee and retain a printout of the form.
This is a record of the 2024 process, not a live application guide. Do not rely on an old apply link or these fees for a new notice.
How many vacancies were reported?
Scroll’s September 3 and September 7, 2024 reports described the recruitment drive as covering 182 vacancies. That figure is attributed to contemporary reporting; the original UKPSC Mains notice is not available here for independent confirmation.
Where to check for current UKPSC notices
Use the UKPSC official portal to check current notices and any live application or later-stage information. The 2024 registration dates, exam schedule and reported fees above apply only to that historical cycle.
