The UKPSC recruitment advertised 526 posts in the Lecturer, Government Polytechnic and Assistant Research Officer, P.W.D. (Group B), Exam-2024: 525 Lecturer vacancies and one ARO vacancy. Applications are no longer open. The initial deadline was 12 August 2024, and a later report said the window reopened through 20 February 2025. Both dates have passed.

Which UKPSC recruitment was this?

This was Uttarakhand Public Service Commission’s recruitment for Lecturer, Government Polytechnic and Assistant Research Officer, P.W.D. (Group B), Exam-2024. Scroll reported the advertised total as 526 posts in its 23 July 2024 coverage.

Post Reported vacancies
Lecturer, Government Polytechnic 525
Assistant Research Officer, P.W.D. 1
Total 526

“Lecture” in the original headline is shorthand; the formal post name is Lecturer. Do not confuse this recruitment with UKPSC’s separate RO/ARO recruitment for the Advocate General Office, Nainital, or its Lecturer Group C examination. Those are different notices, so their dates, eligibility rules and exam details do not establish facts about this 526-post drive.

What were the application dates?

  • Initial application deadline: 12 August 2024, as reported in 2024.
  • Initial correction window: 18–27 August 2024, as reported in 2024.
  • Later reopening: A 2025 report said applications were accepted again through 20 February 2025.

As of 4 October 2026, these application windows have expired. This is a historical recruitment notice, not an open application opportunity.

What application fee was reported?

A 2025 secondary report listed fees of ₹172.30 for unreserved, State OBC and State EWS applicants; ₹82.30 for State SC/ST applicants; and ₹22.30 for PwD applicants. These figures come from that report rather than the primary detailed notification retrieved for this recruitment, so treat them as reported amounts, not independently confirmed current fees.

How can you check the exam’s latest status?

The current result or selection stage for this specific exam is not established here. UKPSC’s official website has sections for recruitment notices, admit cards, answer keys, results, syllabus and old question papers. Check the exam-specific record there for any dated update: psc.uk.gov.in.

  1. Open the UKPSC website and look under recruitment notices or the relevant exam notices.
  2. Find the record specifically titled Lecturer, Government Polytechnic and Assistant Research Officer, P.W.D. (Group B), Exam-2024.
  3. Use the latest notice for that exact exam to confirm any result, answer key, admit-card or selection-stage information.

A notice for the Advocate General Office RO/ARO posts or the separate Lecturer Group C exam is not a substitute for the Exam-2024 record described above.
