Applications for UKPSC’s 2024 Additional Private Secretary (APS) recruitment closed on 7 August 2024, so this is no longer an open application opportunity. The original announcement publicised 99 posts, but UKPSC’s 12 August 2024 corrigendum revised the total to 103: 100 in the Uttarakhand Secretariat and 3 in the Commission. UKPSC’s archive lists a result notice dated 14 September 2026; check the official archive for that notice and any later updates.

What happened in the UKPSC APS recruitment?

The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission advertised direct recruitment to Additional Private Secretary posts in the Uttarakhand Secretariat and UKPSC itself under advertisement A-1/E-3/DR(APS)/2024, dated 18 July 2024. The initial announcement described 99 vacancies and set 7 August 2024 as the application deadline. Applicants could edit submitted forms from 12 to 21 August 2024.

UKPSC’s official corrigendum, issued on 12 August 2024, revised the vacancy table. It lists 100 Secretariat APS posts and 3 Commission APS posts, for 103 posts in total. The widely reported 99 figure is the original headline count, not the revised total.

Recruitment and exam timeline

  • 18 July 2024: UKPSC dated the original advertisement, A-1/E-3/DR(APS)/2024.
  • 7 August 2024: Application deadline; applications are closed.

  • 12 August 2024: UKPSC corrigendum listed 103 posts across the Secretariat and Commission.

  • 14 March 2026: Date UKPSC scheduled for the second-stage written/main examination, comprising general studies and essay/composition papers.
  • 14 September 2026: UKPSC’s archive lists a results entry. Consult the official notice for its contents and any subsequent updates.

Where to check the result and later notices

Use the UKPSC website and its official announcements and results archive to find the 14 September 2026 result entry and any notices posted later. The archive contained activity through 7 October 2026. A secondary report describes the entry as the APS Exam 2024 selection result and reports 95 selected Secretariat candidates and 3 Commission candidates, while also referring to pending litigation. Those details, including the legal status of the selection, should not be treated as confirmed without checking the official result notice and relevant court updates.

UKPSC’s corrigendum says the other terms remain as stated in the original advertisement, but the original advertisement should be consulted before relying on any of those conditions.
