The UGC-NET December 2024 result was declared on 22 February 2025, according to the National Testing Agency (NTA). The official UGC-NET portal lists separate links to download the December 2024 scorecard and certificate.
Where to check the UGC NET December 2024 result
Visit the official NTA UGC-NET portal and find the December 2024 section. It lists separate options labelled “Click Here to Download Score Card” and “Click Here to Download Certificate.” Confirm that you are on the NTA website before entering any information.
The official pages reviewed do not establish the current candidate-login credentials or exact login steps. Follow the instructions shown on the live portal rather than relying on an assumed application-number, date-of-birth or password combination.
Scorecard, certificate and final answer key: what each one is
- Scorecard: Your individual result record. Use the December 2024 scorecard link on the NTA portal to retrieve it.
- Certificate: The qualification record, available through a separate December 2024 link. NTA announced its availability in a notice dated 28 March 2025.
- Final answer key: A separate exam resource listing the final answers; it is not your individual result or certificate. NTA lists the December 2024 final answer key separately from the scorecard and certificate.
What the result can qualify you for
NTA describes UGC-NET as determining eligibility for Assistant Professor and/or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) with Assistant Professor. The December 2024 result notice also names a third outcome: admission to Ph.D. only. These are distinct qualification categories; a result does not by itself mean that every candidate receives JRF or an appointment.

It also states that candidates qualifying for Assistant Professor only are not eligible for JRF. Check your own official scorecard and the applicable rules to establish your outcome; the general result notice does not determine an individual candidate’s eligibility.
Result and exam dates
NTA’s result notice says the computer-based examination covered 85 subjects and was held on 3 January, 6–10 January, 16 January, 21 January and 27 January 2025. A 13 January 2025 notice postponed the sitting scheduled for 15 January; 15 January is not listed among the exam dates in the eventual result notice.
NTA’s notice dated 28 March 2025 separately announced that the December 2024 certificate was available on its website. The result declaration and certificate-availability announcements are different dates.
