Do all Nations League teams get prize money?
UEFA’s annual report says each member association received at least €750,000 in Nations League prize money in 2024/25, with bonuses for group winners. The minimum and the named totals above apply to that edition; they do not establish the payout for a future season. [c004]

The totals in UEFA’s 2024/25 distribution table are association-level payments. UEFA describes participation fees as going to nations competing in the men’s and women’s Nations Leagues, and says its distribution models reallocate net competition earnings among competing and non-competing teams. Separate payments to clubs
UEFA’s Club Benefits Programme compensates clubs that release players for national-team duty. In a September 2026 announcement covering the 2024/25 Nations League, UEFA reported approximately €31.5 million for 611 clubs, at a stated rate of €3,845 per eligible player appearance on a national-team match sheet. This club pool is separate from the association totals and should not be added to a country’s distribution. [c003]
Are the reported amounts net of tax or match expenses?
Under UEFA’s 2026/27 regulations, amounts paid by UEFA are gross and cover taxes, levies and charges. The regulations also say host associations retain match-related earnings and pay the costs of organizing league-phase, play-off or quarter-final matches. Those receipts and expenses are separate from the reported distribution total; the gross figure should not be treated as an after-tax amount. [c002]

Will these amounts apply to the 2026/27 Nations League?
No comparable 2026/27 distribution table is published in the regulations cited here. The 2024/25 figures are edition-specific, so they should not be presented as confirmed payouts for 2026/27. When comparing reported amounts, check the edition, league and group position, group-winner status, finals qualification and placing, and whether the figure is an association distribution or a club player-release payment.
