This article explains what the 532 seats covered, the eligibility and pay terms that applied to that cycle, and how to check for a future round.
Application status as of 8 October 2026
No application window is open for the 2025-26 apprenticeship. UCO Bank’s job-opportunities page lists the 2025-26 apprenticeship engagement together with a provisionally selected-candidate list, which means the cycle has moved into its selection stage. Anyone who did not register by 30 October 2025 cannot use this drive to apply.
What the 532 seats were
The 532 figure comes from UCO Bank’s official FY 2025-26 apprentice notification. The notice presents these as provisional seats, and it notes that the final number could vary according to the bank’s actual requirement.

The notice also breaks the seats out by state and union territory. Treat 532 as the total for that cycle only. It is not a standing vacancy count for the bank.

- Notice date: 21 October 2025

Eligibility for that cycle
These rules belong to the 2025-26 notice only. Check any later notice for its own dates and requirements.
- Education: a graduate degree from a recognised university or institute. Graduation had to be completed on or after 1 April 2021, and mark sheets plus the provisional or final degree certificate had to be issued on or after that date.
- General age band: 20 to 28 years on 1 October 2025 for unreserved and EWS applicants.
- Age relaxations: five years for SC and ST applicants and three years for OBC non-creamy-layer applicants. The notice lists further relaxations for other specified categories.
- Documents: the OBC reservation required a non-creamy-layer certificate, and the notice set out other documentation conditions.
Stipend and training terms
The apprenticeship lasted one year from the contract date. The stipend was ₹15,000 per month, including the government subsidy, and it was split as follows.

The notice states that no other allowances or benefits applied. It also says transport, hostel, and other residential accommodation were outside the bank’s scope.
Selection process and examination
Candidates registered on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal and applied through UCO Bank’s apprenticeship process. They then completed the exam-related registration and payment steps communicated by the Banking, Financial Services and Insurance Sector Skill Council (BFSI SSC).
The objective test had 100 questions worth 100 marks, with 60 minutes allowed. It had four sections of 25 questions and 25 marks each.

Candidates also had to show proficiency in one of the local languages of the state they applied for. That covered reading, writing, speaking, and understanding. The language check formed part of document verification. Candidates who submitted 10th- or 12th-standard records showing they had studied that language were exempt.
What the apprenticeship does not guarantee
Apprenticeship is training, not a job offer. Applicants could choose only one state or union territory, and the bank could allot a district anywhere within it. The notice describes apprentices as trainees rather than employees. It states: “The apprentice shall have no right to claim employment in Bank after completion of the training.”

- Open UCO Bank’s official website and go to its careers or job-opportunities page.
- Find the notice for the new cycle and note its notice date, registration window, and examination date.
- Read that notice’s eligibility section. Do not reuse the 2025-26 age band, degree cut-off, or reservation relaxations.
- Confirm the stipend split, the training length, and the state-language requirement for the state you intend to choose.
- Prepare for the four sections listed above, since the 2025-26 examination used that structure. Confirm that the new notice uses the same pattern before relying on it.
Registration for the closed cycle has ended. Use the official notice for any future round, and do not rely on third-party summaries for dates or eligibility.
