Tyka Nelson, Omarr Baker and Alfred Jackson together were entitled to 50% of the estate’s assets and sold their combined stake to Primary Wave, according to the court decision and MPR News. In a June 2024 interview with the Minnesota Star Tribune, Nelson said she had sold all but 2% of her shares. The Associated Press reported on November 5, 2024, that Nelson died at 64 at North Memorial Health in Robbinsdale, Minnesota. Her son President Nelson confirmed her death to the AP. That initial report did not provide a cause of death; the sources cited here do not establish a later official cause.
