How did the takeover speculation begin?

Rawcliffe’s October 2025 statement was that nothing was imminent. Does the 2026 Bristol City Women deal affect the men’s club?
No. On 8 June 2026, Bristol City Women announced that Mercury13 had acquired a majority stake in the women’s club, with the Lansdown family retaining a minority shareholding.
