Among six feature films in which Tupac Shakur acted, Gridlock’d ranks highest by the first percentage displayed on his Rotten Tomatoes profile: 88%. Poetic Justice ranks sixth at 35%. The scores below are a snapshot retrieved October 7, 2026—not box-office rankings or a definitive measure of artistic quality.
How this ranking works
This list covers six feature-film acting credits displayed on Rotten Tomatoes’ Tupac Shakur profile, ordered by the first percentage shown beside each title. The profile’s extracted text does not identify the score columns or show when the scores were published or refreshed, so the figures should be read as a dated snapshot and may change. Rotten Tomatoes’ Tupac Shakur profile was retrieved October 7, 2026.

This is a deliberately limited film list, not a complete account of every appearance, documentary, or posthumous project. AFI’s catalog independently lists cast credits for five of these titles, while Rotten Tomatoes includes Bullet as well. The official 2Pac biography names five of the six films; it does not include Bullet.
The six Tupac Shakur films, ranked
-
Gridlock’d (1997) — 88%
Shakur plays Spoon, one of two bandmates trying to enter detox after a friend overdoses. Their attempt is complicated by drug dealers, police, and social-service bureaucracy. Universal describes the film as a dark comedy and drama and lists a 92-minute runtime. The first Rotten Tomatoes percentage was the highest among the six titles in the October 7, 2026 snapshot. Universal Pictures At Home lists the film on DVD and digital formats.

-
Juice (1992) — 82%
Shakur plays Bishop. The official 2Pac biography names Juice among his starring films, and AFI’s catalog records his cast credit and the film’s year. Its first displayed Rotten Tomatoes percentage placed it second in this snapshot.
-
Bullet (1996) — 70%
Rotten Tomatoes lists Shakur as Tank in its filmography. The official 2Pac biography and the AFI cast listing reviewed for this article do not include the title, so the role and its place in this ranking are attributed to Rotten Tomatoes. Its first displayed percentage put it third.
Rank #2
-
Gang Related (1997) — 52%
Shakur plays Rodriguez. AFI records the cast credit, and the official 2Pac biography includes the film among his acting work. Its first displayed Rotten Tomatoes percentage placed it fourth.
-
Above the Rim (1994) — 50%
Shakur plays Birdie. The role is recorded by AFI, and the official 2Pac biography names the film. It ranked fifth by the first percentage shown on the Rotten Tomatoes profile.

Poetic Justice (1993) — 35%
Shakur plays Lucky opposite Janet Jackson’s Justice. Sony describes the film as a drama and romance centered on a road trip from South Central Los Angeles to Oakland, where the pair are pushed together despite initially disliking each other. Its first displayed Rotten Tomatoes percentage was the lowest of the six in this snapshot. Sony Pictures lists Blu-ray and DVD editions.
What the ranking does—and does not—tell you
The order is a comparison of one displayed Rotten Tomatoes percentage across the six titles, not a comparison of ticket sales, box-office grosses, or every aspect of film quality. No reliable, comparable primary-source box-office figures for all six films are established here. The scores also do not establish audience response: the retrieved profile text does not label its percentage columns.
The roles and premises show a range of work that the ranking alone cannot capture: Bishop in Juice, Lucky in Poetic Justice, Birdie in Above the Rim, Rodriguez in Gang Related, Spoon in Gridlock’d, and Tank in Bullet. The first five roles are supported by AFI’s cast listings; Rotten Tomatoes is the source for Shakur’s role in Bullet.
