When could candidates apply?
Online applications were accepted from February 23 through March 14, 2024. The deadline on March 14 was 5 p.m.; applications are no longer open. The commission advised candidates not to wait until the last day because heavy website traffic could affect access. The notification sets out the dates and application instructions.
Was OTR enough to apply?
No. One Time Registration (OTR) stored a candidate’s particulars, but it was not an application for this recruitment. Candidates had to submit a separate online application for Notification No. 02/2024. TSPSC’s applicant instructions state: “One Time Registration is not considered as an application for any post under any circumstances.” See the Group-I applicant guide.

Applicants from the cancelled 2022 notification
Candidates who had applied under cancelled Notification No. 04/2022 also had to log in and submit a fresh application for Notification No. 02/2024. The commission said they did not need to pay the fee again if they had already paid it under the earlier application. The instruction appears in the 2024 notification.
What was the selection process?
Preliminary test
The preliminary test was objective. TSPSC reserved the right to conduct it offline using OMR or through computer-based recruitment testing; the notification did not commit to just one mode. The notification also includes the exam details and syllabus.
Mains examination
TSPSC scheduled the conventional-type mains examination for October 21–27, 2024, in Hyderabad, including the HMDA jurisdiction. Candidates selected English, Telugu, or Urdu as the medium for all six papers, subject to paper-specific rules. General English was qualifying, and its marks did not count toward ranking. These arrangements were set out in the commission’s mains schedule notice.

TSPSC’s official page shows certificate-verification notices in 2025, following the 2024 mains examination. The official material cited here does not confirm a final selection outcome as of October 8, 2026, so no final-result status can be stated on that basis. Candidates checking an individual or current recruitment status should consult the TSPSC website for subsequent official notices.
