When checked on 8 October 2026, the page listed mobile banking as “Available”; that is a point-in-time status, not a guarantee that the service is still available now. If there is no listed disruption, use TSB’s login help guide or switch to Internet Banking, Telephone Banking or a branch for banking tasks.
Is TSB mobile banking down right now?
TSB’s Service Status page listed mobile banking as “Available” when checked on 8 October 2026. Check the current status page for the latest information, including any planned work. A status marked available does not rule out a problem affecting an individual customer, device or transaction.
TSB’s published incident figures offer historical context, not a live outage report. For TSB Bank plc, the bank reported one incident affecting mobile banking between 1 April and 30 June 2026, and two between 1 July 2025 and 30 June 2026. It reported two incidents across all services in the first period and three across all services in the twelve-month period. These counts describe the stated reporting windows; they do not show whether the app is down now.
What to do if the app is not working
- Check for a reported service issue. Open TSB’s Service Status page and look for mobile banking and planned maintenance.
- If you cannot log in, follow TSB’s guide. TSB directs customers having trouble accessing the Mobile App or Internet Banking to its interactive login help guide. The bank also lists recovery or resetting of login details as an app and Internet Banking feature.
- Try another TSB banking channel. TSB says customers can use Internet Banking, Telephone Banking or a branch if the app is unavailable. The bank does not say that every task is available through every channel, so check the relevant service before relying on it for a particular transaction.
- Contact TSB if you still need help. Its contact page lists general telephone support at 03459 758 758, 8am–8pm every day. Check the current contact page for up-to-date numbers and hours.
One person’s login or payment problem does not by itself establish a bank-wide outage. The status page can help distinguish a reported service disruption from a problem that needs individual troubleshooting, but it may not identify the cause of every failure.

If an online card payment approval fails
An app connection problem can interrupt approval of an online card payment. TSB’s guidance says to retry or close the error screen. If the approval time limit expires, return to the seller’s website and start the payment again. If TSB cannot connect to the app, it says it may send a one-time password instead.
Follow the on-screen instructions and make sure you restart the payment with the seller if the approval window has expired, rather than assuming the original attempt completed.

How to report an unrecognised transaction
If you suspect fraud, use TSB’s transaction reporting instructions. TSB says you can select the transaction in the app, tap “Get help” and follow the steps, or report it by phone, including through 159. For urgent concerns, use the bank’s official fraud contact route rather than waiting for the app to work.

For banking rather than technical support, TSB identifies Internet Banking, Telephone Banking and branches as alternatives to the app. The app includes features such as payments and transfers, statements, card freezing and replacement, cheque deposits, chat, and online payment approval. TSB’s feature information distinguishes some app-only tools—such as card controls and cheque deposits—from services it lists for both the app and Internet Banking. Check TSB’s mobile banking information to see which channel supports the task you need.
