What the $TRUMP dinner promotion promised
The promotion offered a May 22, 2025, dinner at Trump National Golf Club Washington, D.C., to the top 220 holders of the $TRUMP meme coin. The top 25 were also offered a private reception. Those were the advertised eligibility tiers; they do not establish the final attendance count or guarantee that every guest would have the same amount of contact with Trump. The tiers and timing were also recorded in an April 25 letter from Senators Adam Schiff and Elizabeth Warren to the Office of Government Ethics, which raised concerns about the promotion.
Senate Resolution 245, entered in the Congressional Record on May 21, 2025, says Fight Fight Fight LLC launched the token on January 17, 2025, and describes meme coin prices as primarily driven by demand and speculation. That is the resolution’s characterization, not a court or regulatory finding about this particular dinner or token.
What an attendee said about the food
Justin Sun Pinto told CNBC, in comments relayed by The Daily Beast, “The food sucked.” Pinto also complained about drink service. Those remarks are an attendee’s subjective account. The available reporting does not establish the menu or provide an independent evaluation of the food.

Did guests meet Trump?
Trump attended the dinner, so “no meet-and-greet” should not be read as meaning that nobody saw or met him. Pinto’s account, as reported by The Daily Beast, was that Trump spent meaningful time primarily with the highest-tier buyers rather than engaging with the full guest list. That supports a narrower conclusion: at least one reported attendee described limited access, while the promotion had specifically offered a reception to the top 25.
The Associated Press reported that no media entered the dinner and that Trump was at the club for about an hour. Asked about the event, Trump called it “good, very good.” The absence of media inside means public reporting does not provide a complete account of interactions among guests.

What happened the next day at the White House?
On May 23, several investors visited the White House for what they described as a special event. Attendee Sangrok Oh told ABC News that they expected a tour and a chance to talk about crypto, but said he was unsure whether Trump himself would meet them.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said, “The president is attending [the dinner] in his personal time,” and, “It is not a White House dinner. It’s not taking place here at the White House.” The May 23 visit was a separate event; Oh’s account does not establish that Trump met the visitors.
