The retailer described the original white model as a limited edition of 5,000 pairs and said it sold out within hours. The Associated Press reported on July 16, 2024, that 10 pairs would be randomly autographed. These are launch-era details, not evidence of current stock or a current delivery estimate. The ownership and licensing details have changed in emphasis over time and should not be collapsed into a claim that Trump personally made the shoes. The Associated Press reported on July 16, 2024, that CIC Ventures LLC operated the site during the launch and that Trump reported owning the company in his 2023 financial disclosure. The retailer’s current product page says 45Footwear, LLC uses Trump’s name, image and likeness under a paid license from CIC Ventures. It also states: “Trump Sneakers are not designed, manufactured, distributed or sold by Donald J. Trump, The Trump Organization or any of their respective affiliates or principals.” That is the retailer’s legal disclaimer, not an independent finding about the product’s manufacture. Were the sneakers on Amazon?
The cited reporting does not establish that Amazon sold the official FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT sneakers. Axios reported in July 2024 that an Amazon novelty T-shirt featuring the rally photograph had become a top seller in its Men’s Novelty T-Shirts category and reported a 192,400% sales increase for that shirt during the immediate news cycle. That dated figure concerns one T-shirt, not the sneakers, and it does not establish current apparel availability. Axios’s July 2024 report is about related apparel, not an Amazon listing for the official footwear.
What should buyers check before ordering?
The retailer’s terms on the product page say there are no refunds. Eligible exchanges require the shoes to be in original, unworn condition, a request within seven days of receipt and a $9.99 exchange fee.
