Donald Trump’s houses cannot be listed as a verified current inventory as of October 8, 2026. The most detailed records are his financial statements dated June 30, 2018, June 30, 2020, and June 30, 2021, supplemented by a 2025 New York appellate decision and Trump Organization company pages. Together they document several residences and estates at those dates. They do not establish who holds title today.
The headline’s “Former U.S.” label also needs correcting. The White House biography, accessed October 8, 2026, identifies Donald J. Trump as the sitting president following the 2024 election, so this article uses that description. The White House is his official residence, not a privately owned Trump house.
What the records can and cannot establish
- Every ownership claim carries a date. The statements are snapshots taken at June 30 of 2018, 2020, and 2021. None is a schedule of holdings as of 2026.
- “Held through wholly owned entities” is not the same as a personal deed. The 2018 and 2020 statements describe some homes and estates this way, so a search under Trump’s own name may not surface them.
- Company pages are not title registers. The Trump Organization biography covers hotels, golf clubs, developments, and branded buildings. A brand association does not show that Trump personally owns a house there.
- The court record covers specific disputes. It is useful for Mar-a-Lago and for the square footage of the Trump Tower triplex, but it is not a property inventory.
The residences in the dated records
Six properties appear in the available material. The table compares them on the same axes; the notes below add context that a table cannot carry.
| Property | Type | Ownership wording in the records | Evidence date | Current-status confidence |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Trump Tower triplex, New York City | Apartment on the building’s top three floors | Described as a triplex; holding wording not stated | June 30, 2020 and June 30, 2021 statements; 2025 appellate decision | Not established for October 2026 |
| Seven Springs, Bedford, New York | Estate | Described in the statements; holding wording not stated | 2020 and 2021 statements | Not established for October 2026 |
| Le Chateau des Palmiers, St. Martin | Five-acre estate | Held through wholly owned entities | 2020 and 2021 statements | Not established; a disclosed holding, not verified title |
| Palm Beach homes adjacent to Mar-a-Lago | Three homes (count from 2018) | Described as owned; holding wording not stated | June 30, 2018 statement | Not established; the count is a 2018 figure |
| Beverly Hills home | Home | Held through wholly owned entities | June 30, 2018 statement | Not established for October 2026 |
| Mar-a-Lago, Palm Beach | Residence with private-club use | Legal interest described by the court as a contingent reversionary interest | 2025 New York appellate decision | Court-described legal status; current title not verified |
Trump Tower triplex, New York City
The June 2020 and June 2021 statements describe a triplex apartment occupying the building’s top three floors. A 2025 New York Appellate Division decision discusses its size in litigation. The court identifies 10,996 square feet as the actual area, in a dispute over a representation of 30,000 square feet. That figure is the court’s account of the dispute, not an independent measurement. The available material does not establish whether Trump still holds the apartment.

Seven Springs, Bedford, New York
The 2020 and 2021 statements describe the estate. The Trump Organization biography describes it as a 250-acre estate; that is the company’s own figure, accessed October 8, 2026, not an independent survey. The company also maintains an official estate page, which is useful for property description but not for historical holdings. The dated financial statements are the better evidence of what was held.
Le Chateau des Palmiers, St. Martin
The 2020 and 2021 statements describe this five-acre estate as held through wholly owned entities. Those entries establish the disclosed holding at those dates. They do not establish current title, and the holding entity’s own records would be needed to confirm it.
Rank #2
Palm Beach homes adjacent to Mar-a-Lago
The June 30, 2018 statement says Trump owned three homes adjacent to the club. This is the only count in the available material, and it is a 2018 figure. The material does not show how many of those homes remain in his ownership.
Beverly Hills home
The 2018 statement describes a home held through wholly owned entities. It is the only Beverly Hills entry in the available material, and it does not establish current ownership.

Mar-a-Lago, Palm Beach
Mar-a-Lago is the property where residential character and club use overlap, which makes it the easiest to misdescribe as a detached house. The 2025 appellate decision discusses its R-AA zoning and the conditional reversion language in its use agreement. In discussing a development-rights deed, the court describes Trump as the “holder of a contingent reversionary interest in the Property.” That wording describes a conditional interest connected to the use agreement, not an unqualified deed to a house, so a simple “Trump owns Mar-a-Lago” line leaves out the legal arrangement.
Official residence and business property are different categories
- The White House is the president’s official residence. It is not a Trump-owned house and should not appear in a personal property list.
- The Trump Organization biography lists golf clubs, hotels, developments, and other properties. Before counting any of these as a home, identify the legal owner and the nature of the interest.
Past sales that should not be listed as current homes
The Trump Organization biography reports two sales. Both are historical transactions.
| Property | Location | Sale price reported | Sale date | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Estate at 515 South Ocean Boulevard | Palm Beach, Florida | $100 million | Not stated in the biography | Trump Organization biography, accessed October 8, 2026 |
| Penthouse apartment, Trump International Hotel & Tower | New York City | $33 million | March 2010 | Trump Organization biography, accessed October 8, 2026 |
How to check current ownership
- Search county recorder and property appraiser records by owner name for each property above. Include the entity names described in the 2018 and 2020 statements, since some holdings were recorded through entities rather than in Trump’s own name.
- For Le Chateau des Palmiers, check the holding entity’s registration and filings in the jurisdiction where it is organized.
- Look for a comprehensive financial disclosure dated after June 30, 2021. A later statement would be the most direct update to the dated figures in this article.
- For Mar-a-Lago and the Trump Tower triplex, read the court decisions for the legal arrangement itself, not only the property description.
Until one of these checks is completed for a given property, treat it as a dated holding rather than a confirmed current home.
