Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), the company behind Truth Social, announced a technology and cloud-services partnership with Rumble in December 2021. Rumble was to provide video and streaming for Truth Social, and TMTG later said the site and mobile apps had moved to Rumble Cloud. The arrangement should not be confused with Truth+, TMTG’s later streaming product: by 2024, TMTG said it was building and operating its own content-delivery network (CDN). Current TMTG disclosures still associate Rumble with advertising support, but do not establish that Rumble delivers every Truth Social or Truth+ video today.
Who partnered, and what did Rumble agree to do?
The corporate parties were Trump Media & Technology Group and Rumble Inc.—not Donald Trump personally and not Truth Social as an independent contracting company. TMTG operates Truth Social; Rumble described itself as a video-distribution platform and cloud-services provider.
In its December 14, 2021 announcement, TMTG described a wide-ranging technology and cloud-services agreement. The central user-facing commitment was for Rumble to deliver video and streaming for Truth Social. A separate SEC-filed announcement likewise described Rumble’s role in video and streaming.
That language points to more than a video player on a page. Video services can involve storing and processing media, preparing it for playback, delivering streams to viewers, and supporting the computing and traffic demands behind a service. The public announcements do not publish a complete technical architecture, fee schedule, service-level agreement, or allocation of each operational responsibility. They also do not establish that the arrangement was exclusive.

What happened after the deal was announced?
On April 22, 2022, Rumble said Truth Social had migrated its website and mobile applications to Rumble Cloud. That is evidence that the relationship progressed beyond a future-facing announcement: at that point, those parts of Truth Social had moved onto Rumble’s cloud infrastructure. It does not show that every later TMTG product or function remained there.
The partnership’s public story changed as TMTG developed its own streaming product and described infrastructure it controlled. The dates below distinguish announced plans from later product claims.
| Date | Development | What it establishes |
|---|---|---|
| December 14, 2021 | TMTG announced a technology and cloud-services agreement with Rumble. | Rumble was to provide video and streaming for Truth Social. |

| April 16, 2024 | TMTG announced a planned streaming platform and said it was scaling its own CDN. | TMTG began publicly emphasizing its own delivery infrastructure. |
| August 2, 2024 | TMTG announced a phased Truth+ rollout. | Truth+ became the company’s named live and on-demand streaming product. |
| September 5, 2024 | TMTG said linear TV streaming was available on Truth Social’s web version through a custom-built CDN. | TMTG described a delivery system of its own, without disclosing a complete vendor split. |
| September 2025 policy disclosure | TMTG’s cookie policy identified Rumble as supporting advertising capabilities on its websites and apps. | Rumble remained associated with at least an advertising-related function. |
What is Truth+, and how is it different from the Rumble deal?
Truth+ is TMTG’s streaming service, distinct from Truth Social’s social-media feed and from Rumble’s consumer video platform. TMTG’s Truth+ introduction describes web, mobile, and connected-TV access, along with live content, an interactive 14-day electronic program guide, catch-up viewing for up to seven days, network DVR, and video on demand.

In 2024, TMTG presented Truth+ as a phased launch. Its August announcement described the rollout and streaming features; a September announcement said web-based linear TV streaming was available through TMTG’s custom-built CDN. TMTG described Truth+ as using its own servers, routers, and proprietary software stack. Those are company descriptions, not an independently published architecture audit.

A CDN distributes content across networks so viewers can receive it from locations suited to their connection and demand. Operating a CDN does not, by itself, reveal which vendor handles storage, encoding, cloud computing, authentication, advertising, or other parts of a streaming service. The public announcements do not document a complete handoff from Rumble, or prove that Rumble had no role in any Truth+ component.
What does Rumble appear to do for TMTG now?
TMTG’s cookie policy identifies Rumble as helping support and implement advertising capabilities on TMTG websites and apps, including collection of information about interactions with advertisements. TMTG’s advertising help page also says Truth Social is a publisher on the Rumble Advertising Network and presents that network as a route to buy and place ads on Truth Social.

That advertising relationship is separate from the question of who delivers a particular video stream. Cloud hosting, CDN delivery, ad technology, consumer subscriptions, and payment processing can involve different systems and vendors. The disclosures establish an advertising-related Rumble role; they do not establish that Rumble currently hosts or delivers all Truth Social and Truth+ video.

For a new social platform, using an established video and cloud-services provider could make it possible to offer video without building every underlying system at once. The deal also connected Truth Social with Rumble’s positioning as an alternative video and infrastructure provider, while giving Rumble a high-profile enterprise relationship. Those are strategic implications, not proof of a specific financial result or technical performance.
Infrastructure arrangements also put a limit on simple claims of platform independence. A company may control important parts of its product while relying on outside providers for other functions, and services can change over time. TMTG’s cookie policy names other technology providers, including Cloudflare, Firebase, and Mixpanel, as well as Rumble. Its disclosures therefore illustrate a multi-vendor environment rather than a single-provider explanation of how the whole service works.

Rumble’s current general cloud terms describe subscription and consumption billing, usage charges, overages, service credits, and a target service-level objective of at least 99.9% monthly uptime, with exclusions that include certain internet, data-center, maintenance, and third-party problems. Those terms illustrate the kinds of considerations in cloud services; they are not evidence of the specific price or uptime commitment in TMTG’s agreement.
Streaming also involves practical demands beyond choosing a cloud provider: live-event traffic spikes, device compatibility, buffering, content-delivery costs, app-store requirements, network congestion, recovery from outages, security, and rights restrictions can all affect service. The partnership announcement does not show that Rumble owned Truth Social, controlled every user post, handled all moderation or payments, or owned programming offered on Truth+.
What remains unclear from public disclosures?
- Whether any current Rumble-TMTG infrastructure agreement is exclusive, and its renewal status.
- How much Truth Social hosting or video delivery currently runs on Rumble systems versus TMTG systems or other providers.
- Rumble’s precise technical contribution, if any, to particular Truth+ streams or features.
- The original agreement’s value, detailed service levels, and full division of responsibilities.
These details are not established by the public announcements and current help disclosures cited here. The reliable distinction is narrower: Rumble was assigned an important video and cloud role for Truth Social; TMTG later described its own CDN and infrastructure for Truth+; and TMTG continues to identify Rumble in connection with advertising.
