Trump Media (DJT) Stock Hit a Reported Record Low in June 2026: What the Numbers Show

Trump Media (DJT) closed at $7.52 on June 24, 2026, a reported record low. Here is what that figure means, what the SEC filings show and what has changed at the company.

Yes, on one reported measure. The Daily Beast reported on June 25, 2026 that Trump Media & Technology Group Corp. (TMTG), the parent company of Truth Social, closed at $7.52 on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. That was below a previously reported all-time closing low of $7.76. The June 24 close is therefore a reported record low for the stock, which trades on Nasdaq under the ticker DJT. The reporting available for this article does not establish whether DJT has traded lower since June 24, so the record should be read as a date-specific figure, not as the stock’s current all-time low as of October 8, 2026.

What the record low measures

The $7.52 figure is a closing price, meaning the last trade of the regular session on June 24, 2026. A closing low and an intraday low are different numbers. An intraday low is the lowest price reached at any point during trading, and it is usually lower than the closing price on the same day. Reports on record lows often mix the two, so check which one a headline uses before comparing it with another figure. The $7.76 figure that the $7.52 close undercut was also described as a closing low in the same reporting.

Verifying a record yourself takes a complete price history for DJT, not a single headline. Before repeating a “lowest ever” claim, work through these checks:

  • Pull daily historical prices for DJT from the earliest date your data source covers, and confirm whether the series uses closing or intraday prices.
  • Look at every session after June 24, 2026 through the date you are writing, not only the most recent week.
  • Confirm that the price is adjusted or unadjusted in the way you intend to compare. Adjustments for corporate actions can change older prices.
  • Note the trading venue. A figure from a different exchange or a pre-market quote is not comparable.

What TMTG’s SEC filings report

The company’s Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2025 and its Form 10-Q for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 are the primary sources for the company’s reported financial results. The figures below are reported as stated, with their periods.

Figure Period Amount Source
Net loss Year ended December 31, 2025 $712.3402 million Form 10-K
Media-segment revenue Year ended December 31, 2025 $3.6826 million Form 10-K
Total revenue Quarter ended June 30, 2026 $1.6697 million Form 10-Q
Net loss Quarter ended June 30, 2026 $238.111 million Form 10-Q

Two points follow from the table. First, the 2025 revenue figure is for the Media segment only, and the reporting cited here does not give a total company revenue for that year, so it should not be compared directly with the 2026 quarterly total. Second, the net loss for a single quarter in 2026 was far larger than the revenue reported for that quarter. That gap is a fact about the reported results. It is not, by itself, proof of why the share price fell.

Where the Q2 2026 revenue came from

According to the 10-Q, the quarter’s revenue came from several sources:

Rank #2
  • Advertising services tied to a barter agreement.
  • Truth+ subscriptions, which were in beta during the quarter.
  • Fees from Truth.Fi offerings.

Those gains were partly offset by lower advertising revenue on Truth Social. On the cost side, the filing attributed content-license costs and data-center costs to the developing Truth+ platform.

Balance-sheet context at year-end 2025

The 2025 annual filing discusses year-end balances in broad terms. The figures below need to be read with their definitions.

Item Date Amount How to read it
Cash, restricted cash, investments, receivables and digital assets, combined Year-end 2025 Roughly $2.473 billion A broad asset total. It is not the same as cash available for operations, because restricted cash, investments, receivables and digital assets are included.
Debt Year-end 2025 Roughly $947.1 million Reported as a liability at that date. The reporting cited here does not break it down further.

What the company says changed in 2026

The company’s stated direction shifted during the summer of 2026. The filing and the Associated Press report of August 10, 2026 describe the following developments. These are announced plans and transaction status as reported at that time, not completed operating results.

Truth API launch

TMTG disclosed that Truth API launched on August 1, 2026. The service offers licensed, low-latency access to publicly available posts from certain top Truth Social accounts. AP reported that CEO Kevin McGurn described the pricing as $60,000 to $100,000 per month and said the company had 10 customers. Those are executive-reported figures from interview comments, not audited recurring revenue, and they are not confirmed as a realized revenue run rate.

McGurn defended the offering in AP’s reporting: “Providing licensed real-time public data through commercial APIs is a well-established business practice across the technology, financial information and media industries,” followed by “This is no different.”

Termination of the CRO Strategy transaction

The 10-Q states that TMTG and the counterparty mutually terminated the proposed Trump Media Group CRO Strategy transaction on August 7, 2026. The filing treats it as a subsequent event, which means it occurred after the quarter ended and before the report was issued.

A narrower focus on social media

AP reported that McGurn said the company would largely abandon other recently explored businesses, including online betting and crypto, and concentrate on social media. In the same reporting, McGurn said: “We made the disciplined choice to pivot in order to invest more time and resources in our most important initiatives,” and “We will say no to things or change course as warranted.” Those are management’s statements about strategy. They describe intent, not a demonstrated result.

The TAE Technologies transaction

AP also reported that the planned TAE Technologies fusion transaction was expected to continue. Its status is a planned transaction as of the August 2026 reporting, not a completed one.

Why the share price fell: what can and cannot be established

The company’s filings show persistent losses, a revenue base that is small relative to those losses, and a series of strategic changes. Those facts give investors reasons to reassess the stock. They do not establish that any single result caused the June 24 close. Share prices reflect many inputs, including market-wide conditions, expectations about future results, and trading flows, and no report reviewed for this article isolates one cause for the decline.

Historical price declines also say little about future performance. A stock that has hit a reported low can keep falling, recover, or trade sideways.

How to read these numbers without mixing them up

  • Compare like with like: closing prices against closing prices, and the same exchange and date range.
  • Separate revenue, net loss, cash, restricted assets and debt. A large asset total does not mean the company has that much cash available to spend.
  • Match fiscal periods. A full-year segment revenue figure and a single-quarter total revenue figure answer different questions.
  • Treat executive figures on pricing and customer counts as company statements until they appear in audited or filed financial statements.
  • Treat planned transactions as planned until the filings show them completed.

For readers tracking the stock, the most useful next step is to pull the latest filed 10-Q and the company’s disclosures about the Truth API, the TAE Technologies transaction and the Truth+ platform, then compare them with the daily price history from June 24 forward.
