The project spans two downtown Holland locations. The available sources do not establish a group of six tribal-backed developments or a September investment trend.
Ottawa County separately notes six additional fiber development projects by other providers. Those broadband projects are unrelated to the Holland housing development and should not be counted as tribal investments. The June report says rents will serve households at 80% of area median income (AMI) and below, including income levels below 60% AMI. It also reports that 11 units will be reserved for LRBOI community members, and that some units will serve adults with disabilities through the federal 811 Voucher Program. The report does not specify the number of units for that program.
Who is involved, and what tribal participation means
Partners named in the report are Dwelling Place, Community Action House, Hope Church, Housing Next, the City of Holland, LRBOI, Little River Holdings and Orion Construction. Little River Holdings is described as LRBOI’s independent economic development arm. The documented tribal role is therefore specific: LRBOI and its affiliated economic development arm are partners, and a portion of the homes is reserved for LRBOI community members. The report does not provide a dollar amount or detailed capital structure for the investment.
Community Action House communications director Katy Russner-Travis said the sites were chosen both for available land and for the chance to convert underused property into housing addressing a local need. Little River Holdings senior vice president of economic development Brittney Drake described the project as a response to the difficulty some tribal members face finding housing near jobs, family and tribal services.
Timing and the stated housing need
The June 17, 2026 report anticipated completion in January or February 2027 and said pre-leasing was expected to begin in summer 2026. Those are projections from that report, not confirmation of the project’s current schedule or leasing status.

The same report cited Ottawa County housing data and community needs assessments as pointing to a need for nearly 4,000 additional rental units by 2029. It did not identify the original assessment publisher or explain its methodology, so the figure is best understood as a statistic reported by Ottawa News Network, not an independently verified forecast.

A roundup of six tribal investments would require evidence identifying each development, the tribal entity involved, the form and timing of its investment, and its current status. The available reporting establishes none of those six projects as a group. What it does substantiate is one Holland housing project with two sites—not six separate housing developments.
