The company announced the results on January 26, 2026, using “2025” as the award-year label—not as the year the results were announced. The awards reflect customer-choice voting, not a published sales ranking: Trader Joe’s did not disclose vote totals or the number of participants.
Trader Joe’s overall favorite of 2025
Steamed Pork & Ginger Soup Dumplings won the overall award. The runners-up were Butternut Squash Mac & Cheese, Steamed Chicken Soup Dumplings, Sourdough Bread, and Butter Chicken with Basmati Rice. These are the products named in the company’s 17th Annual Customer Choice Awards announcement.

What the awards do—and don’t—tell you
Trader Joe’s presents these results as customer-choice awards. Its published results name winners and runners-up, but do not include vote totals, sample size, or sales data. That means the awards are a useful snapshot of customer favorites, not evidence that the winners sold the most or that they are objectively the best products.

The list also mixes unlike products: a frozen meal, produce, a snack, and a body-care item are all judged within their respective categories. It does not provide a common basis for comparing price, nutrition, or value across the winners.
Which winners may be seasonal?
Trader Joe’s identifies Butternut Squash Mac & Cheese, Spiced Cider, and Brazil Nut Body Butter as seasonal. The company notes that some seasonal winners return later in the year, but that does not establish when or whether a particular store will have them. Check with your local store for current availability.

Why a former winner is missing from the new list
Chile & Lime Flavored Rolled Corn Tortilla Chips won the overall award and the snack category in the preceding awards, reaching its fifth win and entering Trader Joe’s Product Hall of Fame. Trader Joe’s says a product that wins its category five times is retired from award contention to make room for other products to receive attention. That retirement applies to the awards, not the shelves: as Tara Miller, the company’s director of words and phrases and clauses, put it, “They’re retiring from the Customer Choice Awards contention.
