What is Trader Joe’s almond kringle?
Almond kringle is a large Danish pastry with layered dough and almond filling. The original feature identified Trader Joe’s version as made by O&H Danish Bakery, a Racine, Wisconsin bakery. O&H also lists an Almond Kringle for direct purchase on its product page.
Trader Joe’s 2026 Customer Choice Awards call Almond Danish Kringle Pastry a seasonal product and name it a runner-up in the Sweet Treat category. That is an award result, not a measure of sales or proof of current store inventory. Trader Joe’s award page
Is it back in Trader Joe’s stores now?
There is no confirmed chainwide answer. Availability rotates, and announcements about other kringle flavors do not confirm that almond kringle is on shelves at a particular store. O&H announced Pumpkin Caramel Kringle at Trader Joe’s for fall on September 1, 2026, and described Cherry Almond Kringle as a limited summer offering in July 2026. Trader Joe’s fall roundup also lists O&H Bakery Pumpkin Kringle. Those are dated examples of seasonal offerings, not evidence of current almond kringle stock.

For a store-level answer, contact or visit your local Trader Joe’s. The 2024 feature said the pastry was commonly found around the second week of November, but that was the writer’s account for that year, not a guaranteed annual release date.
What did it cost, and how much do you get?
The November 2024 feature reported a Trader Joe’s price of $9.99 for 12 servings. That is a historical price only; it should not be treated as today’s shelf price. A current Trader Joe’s price was not established.

How did the original writer serve it?
The feature’s author said she liked warming the kringle in the oven. She also mentioned chopped almonds or festive sprinkles as optional toppings. Those are her personal serving preferences, not independently tested instructions; follow any heating guidance on the package.

Can you buy the bakery’s version directly?
O&H lists an Almond Kringle for direct purchase on its website. The listing establishes that the bakery offers the product; it does not establish that it is identical in price, packaging, or current availability to the Trader Joe’s item. Check the bakery’s listing for current purchase details.
