The brand has been associated with offshore operations, regulatory warnings and numerous customer complaints about withdrawals and account handling. Even if a website using the Trade12 name is still accepting deposits, that is not evidence that it is authorized or financially safe.
The practical conclusion for a prospective customer is simple: do not deposit money with Trade12, and do not pay an additional fee to release a withdrawal. Existing customers should preserve their records and contact their bank, card issuer or cryptocurrency exchange as soon as possible.
What is Trade12?
Trade12 was marketed as an online forex and CFD broker offering currency pairs, commodities, indices and other leveraged products. Like many offshore broker brands, it attracted customers through online advertising, telephone sales and account managers who encouraged larger deposits.
The important question is not whether the platform displayed prices or whether a customer could open a trading account. A website can provide a functioning dashboard and still lack the authorization, capital safeguards and complaint process expected from a properly regulated retail broker.

Trade12 has been repeatedly discussed in connection with withdrawal disputes and regulatory concerns. The brand’s corporate and licensing details should therefore be treated as a verification issue, not accepted at face value from sales material or a broker-comparison website.
Is Trade12 regulated?
Trade12 has not established the kind of current, readily verifiable authorization that a cautious retail trader should require. Historical regulatory warnings and public complaints have raised concerns about the brand’s authorization and business practices.
A broker’s own statement that it is “regulated” is not enough. Before depositing, check the regulator’s database yourself. For a broker claiming to serve a particular country, use the relevant register:
| Customer location | Register to check |
|---|---|
| United States | NFA BASIC and the CFTC’s registration search |
| United Kingdom | FCA Financial Services Register |
| European Union | The relevant national regulator and ESMA-related warnings |
| Australia | ASIC’s professional registers |
| Canada | CIRO and the applicable provincial securities regulator |
Search the exact legal entity, trading name, website domain and license number. A company appearing in a corporate registry does not automatically have permission to provide forex services. Likewise, a warning about an unauthorized website is not cured by a different company number copied into the website’s terms and conditions.

Why Trade12 raises scam concerns
1. Offshore and unclear corporate information
Trade12 has been linked in public discussions to offshore corporate structures. Offshore incorporation is not conclusive proof of fraud, but it creates practical problems for customers: weaker supervision, less transparent financial reporting, limited local enforcement and a more difficult legal recovery process.
A responsible broker should clearly identify:
- the legal entity contracting with the customer;
- the regulator and exact license number;
- the permitted countries and customer categories;
- the bank or payment institution receiving client money;
- the complaint and dispute-resolution procedure; and
- the protections available if the broker or a liquidity provider fails.
If those details are missing, inconsistent or impossible to confirm independently, do not send money.
2. Withdrawal complaints
The most serious allegations concerning Trade12 involve customers who say they could not withdraw funds, were pressured to deposit more, or were asked to pay additional charges before their balance would be released.
Some withdrawal controls are normal. A broker may request identity documents, verify the source of funds, return money to the original payment method or close positions before processing a withdrawal. Those steps should be explained in the published terms and should not require a new investment.

By contrast, these demands are major advance-fee warning signs:
- “Pay tax” before a withdrawal can be processed;
- deposit 10% or another percentage of your profits;
- upgrade to VIP status before accessing your money;
- send a security deposit for an account review;
- pay an insurance, blockchain, AML or wallet-unlock fee; or
- deposit more money to satisfy a margin requirement on a closed or supposedly withdrawable account.
Do not assume that a demand becomes legitimate because it is delivered in a professional email or displayed inside a trading portal. A genuine tax obligation is normally handled by the customer with the relevant tax authority; it is not generally paid to an offshore broker as a condition of receiving the customer’s own funds.
3. Aggressive sales tactics
High-pressure sales calls are especially concerning when an account manager claims to have a special trading opportunity, promises unusually high returns or repeatedly asks the customer to increase the deposit. Trading losses are always possible, but a broker should not need to use emotional pressure to keep a customer funding an account.
Be cautious if the caller:
- promises to recover previous losses;
- claims that a personal analyst can guarantee profits;
- discourages withdrawals or independent advice;
- asks for remote access to your computer or banking app; or
- moves the conversation to WhatsApp, Telegram or a personal email address.
Does a trading platform prove that Trade12 is legitimate?
No. A working MetaTrader login, web terminal or account dashboard proves only that the operator has provided access to software. It does not prove that trades are being passed to a real market, that account balances are backed by money, or that withdrawals will be honored.

Similarly, screenshots showing profits are not proof of a withdrawable balance. Unregulated operators can display simulated profits to encourage further deposits. The decisive test is whether a customer can withdraw without paying a new, unexplained charge—and whether the operator is authorized by a regulator that can actually supervise it.
What should existing Trade12 customers do?
- Stop sending money. Do not pay a withdrawal fee, tax, verification deposit or “final” account charge.
- Save evidence. Download account statements, transaction histories, emails, chat logs, phone numbers, wallet addresses, payment receipts and screenshots.
- Contact the payment provider quickly. Ask your card issuer about a chargeback. For a bank transfer, ask the bank’s fraud department whether a recall or recipient-bank intervention is possible. Cryptocurrency payments are usually difficult to reverse, but report the transaction to the exchange or wallet provider immediately.
- Secure your accounts. Change passwords, enable two-factor authentication and remove remote-access software such as AnyDesk or TeamViewer if a representative installed it.
- Report the conduct. Contact your national financial regulator, police or fraud-reporting service. Include the exact domain and legal name used, not just the brand name.
- Beware of recovery scams. People who promise to recover your funds for an upfront fee may be connected to the original operation or may be running a second fraud.
How Trade12 compares with a safer broker
There is no risk-free forex broker. Forex and CFD trading involve leverage, spreads, slippage and the possibility of losing the entire deposit. A safer choice is one that makes the risks and protections verifiable before the account is funded.
| Check | What to expect from a safer broker | Trade12 concern |
|---|---|---|
| Authorization | Exact entity and license appear in the regulator’s own register | Authorization has been disputed and should not be assumed |
| Withdrawals | Clear published process and no advance payment to release funds | Public complaints describe withdrawal and extra-payment problems |
| Client protection | Clearly explained segregation, compensation and negative-balance rules where applicable | Offshore structures may provide materially weaker protection |
| Sales conduct | No guaranteed returns or pressure to keep depositing | Reported aggressive account-management behavior is a red flag |
| Complaints | Independent ombudsman or formal dispute route | Recovery may be difficult if the operator is outside the customer’s jurisdiction |
Final verdict: Is Trade12 a scam or legit?
It would be too strong to claim that every person associated with the Trade12 name has been proven to have committed fraud. However, customers do not need to establish a criminal case before deciding that a broker is unsafe.
Trade12 presents enough warning signs—regulatory uncertainty, offshore-related concerns and serious withdrawal allegations—that it fails a reasonable due-diligence test. It should be classified as high risk and not recommended, rather than as a trustworthy forex broker.

FAQ
Is Trade12 a regulated forex broker?
Trade12 has not demonstrated current authorization from a major retail forex regulator that customers can independently verify. Check the exact legal entity and domain in your own regulator’s register before considering any deposit.
Can I withdraw money from Trade12 without paying another fee?
Do not pay a new tax, security deposit, VIP charge or percentage-of-profit fee to unlock a withdrawal. These are classic advance-fee warning signs. Contact your payment provider and report the matter instead.
Is Trade12 available to U.S. customers?
A U.S. customer should not use Trade12 unless the operator can be verified in the NFA and CFTC databases. An offshore or unregistered broker cannot lawfully substitute for the protections required of a U.S. retail forex dealer.
What if Trade12 asks for remote access to my computer?
Refuse the request. Uninstall remote-access software, change passwords, enable two-factor authentication and contact your bank if the person viewed or controlled your financial accounts.

No company can guarantee recovery. Treat any demand for an upfront recovery fee as a possible second scam. Start with your card issuer, bank, cryptocurrency exchange and financial regulator.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: Trade12 is not a broker we would recommend. Its regulatory status is not sufficiently reassuring, and the history of withdrawal complaints and alleged demands for additional payments creates unacceptable risk for a personal-finance reader. Do not deposit, do not pay to unlock a withdrawal, and act quickly through your payment provider if you have already sent money.
