Trade.com offers access to forex, shares, indices, commodities, cryptocurrencies and ETFs through its app, WebTrader and MetaTrader 5. For the global offering, these markets are primarily available as CFDs, which provide price exposure rather than ownership of the underlying assets. Products, fees, legal entity and protections depend on the customer’s jurisdiction and account.
What Trade.com means by “multi-asset broker”
A multi-asset broker allows customers to trade several categories of market through one account. Trade.com’s global website lists six broad categories:
| Asset class | How the global pages describe it | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Forex | Currency trading | Typically leveraged trading rather than delivery of physical currency |
| Shares | Shares CFDs | A CFD does not give the client ownership or shareholder rights |
| Indices | Index CFDs | Exposure follows an index price rather than ownership of its constituent companies |
| Commodities | Commodity CFDs | No delivery or ownership of the physical commodity |
| Cryptocurrencies | Crypto CFDs | The position tracks price movements; it is not the same as holding coins in a wallet |
| ETFs | ETF CFDs | The client does not automatically own units in the underlying ETF |
This distinction matters for personal-finance decisions. Buying a share through an investment platform can provide ownership, voting rights and, where applicable, dividends. Opening a share CFD is a leveraged contract with the broker based on the share’s price. The products can follow the same market price but have different costs, risks and legal consequences.
Trade.com is not simply a stock-investing account
The current global pages use terms such as “CFDs on Shares Trading” and “CFDs on ETFs.” It would therefore be misleading to describe every Trade.com customer as buying real stocks or ETFs.

A CFD can let a trader take a long position if they expect the price to rise or a short position if they expect it to fall. Leverage can reduce the cash needed to open a position, but it also magnifies losses. Overnight financing, spreads, commissions and currency conversion can further affect the result.
Trade.com’s product structure may differ by jurisdiction. Before funding an account, check the legal documents and the instrument description for the specific account, not just the general marketing page.
Which platforms can customers use?
Trade.com currently advertises three ways to access its markets:
- Trade.com App: mobile trading and account management.
- WebTrader: browser-based access with multi-chart functions, watchlists, price alerts, market news, economic-event tools and Trading Central integration.
- MetaTrader 5: desktop and mobile trading with charting, technical analysis, Expert Advisors, strategy testing, MQL5 automation, market news and an economic calendar.
The website uses buttons including Create Live Account, Create Demo Account, Get Webtrader, Get MT5, Download Android and Download IOS.
Recommended Free Tools
MT5 automation is described through Expert Advisors and MQL5. Trade.com’s current public material does not document a Trade.com-specific command-line trading API, so customers should not assume that a generic automated-trading script or broker API is available.
Useful Trade.com interface paths
Trade.com’s published FAQ uses some legacy labels, and the exact appearance may vary between accounts. Treat these as documented instructions rather than a guarantee that every account displays an identical interface.

- Find the market. Search for an instrument or select an asset category from the instrument list.
- Choose the direction. Select Buy if you expect the price to rise or Sell if you expect it to fall. This opens a position; it does not necessarily purchase the underlying asset.
- Add risk controls. When opening the position, enable Stop loss and enter the level. Enable Take profit if you want the platform to attempt to close the trade at a target level. On mobile, the FAQ describes these as switches. Use Edit to add or change levels on an existing position.
- Review the position. On mobile, the documented path is Three horizontal lines → Open Positions → Edit. This can show volume, entry price and exposure.
- Close the trade. On desktop, open the Positions tab and use the close control. On mobile, select the position and press Close.
Stop-loss orders are not a guarantee against every loss. A market can gap, spreads can widen and execution may occur at a different price from the requested level.
Fees and minimum deposits
Trade.com’s published pricing is not uniform across all products. Its global account page gives indicative examples including:
- Minimum spreads from 0.3 pips under some account conditions.
- A listed 0.08% commission for shares and ETFs.
- A listed 0.50% commission for cryptocurrencies.
The account page says commissions are charged when a position is opened and that the quoted amount includes both opening and closing of the position. Separately, Trade.com advertises zero commissions on some CFDs. These claims should not be treated as one universal pricing rule: charges depend on the instrument, account, jurisdiction and product structure.
Overnight charges and currency-conversion fees may also apply. Minimum spreads can be higher in actual market conditions, particularly when liquidity is thin or markets are volatile.

The main risks personal-finance readers should understand
Automatic margin close-out
Trade.com’s FAQ says automatic closing can begin when account equity reaches or falls below 50%. It says positions are closed starting with the position generating the largest loss until equity rises above that margin level.

This can happen without the customer manually closing the trade. A sharp price move, a market reopening or a widened spread can reduce equity quickly.
Balance is not the same as equity
Balance excludes unrealized profit or loss on open positions. Equity includes that unrealized result. A positive balance therefore does not necessarily mean that the account has comfortable margin available. Equity is the more relevant figure when assessing liquidation risk.

Trade.com says it may widen spreads, reduce leverage, increase margin requirements, limit maximum order sizes or control total client exposure. Those measures may be particularly relevant around major economic announcements, market openings and thinly traded periods.
Public quotes may not be executable prices
Prices displayed on public instrument pages may be delayed or indicative. They should not be assumed to be live dealing quotes. Check the price, spread and trading hours inside the account platform before submitting an order.
Verification and withdrawals
Trade.com says an account must be fully verified before a withdrawal request can be submitted. The documented upload route is Three horizontal lines → Verification Centre.
Examples of accepted documents include a passport, identity card or driving licence for identity verification, and a utility bill or bank statement for proof of residence. Trade.com says proof-of-residence documents must have been issued within the previous six months.

Regulation depends on where you live
Trade.com is a brand used by different legal entities. Its current materials identify:
| Entity | Jurisdiction | Regulatory information published by Trade.com |
|---|---|---|
| Trade Capital Markets (TCM) Ltd | Cyprus | CySEC licence 227/14 |
| Lead Capital Global Ltd | Mauritius | Financial Services Commission licence C119023948 |
The global website states that Lead Capital Global Ltd is the relevant global entity and does not operate under EU, UK or Swiss regulatory frameworks. It also says the global entity does not provide an investor-compensation system.
The global website excludes residents of the European Union, United Kingdom, Switzerland, United States, Iran and North Korea. Availability and protections must be checked using the regulator and legal entity named in the account-opening documents.
Do not confuse Trade.com with Trading.com. Trading.com is a separate brand. Its US site identifies Trading.com Markets Inc. as a CFTC-registered Retail Foreign Exchange Dealer and NFA member, NFA ID 0516820. That does not make the global Trade.com website a US-regulated or US-available service.
What the “new” multi-asset claim does—and does not—mean
Trade.com’s description as a multi-asset broker is not a new development announced for the first time now. A November 2019 press release described an evolution from CFD and spread-betting services toward a broader multi-asset brokerage.
Some older articles also mention DMA, IPO allocations and asset-management services. The current global pages reviewed for this guide focus on CFDs, the app, WebTrader and MT5. They do not provide current, detailed terms confirming that DMA, IPO allocations or portfolio-management services are standard features for global retail customers.
The number of available instruments is inconsistent across Trade.com pages. Current claims include 800-plus, 1,200-plus and 2,100-plus instruments. Treat these as marketing figures tied to particular pages or account conditions, not as one definitive total. The account-specific instrument list is the useful source when deciding whether a particular market is available.

FAQ
Is Trade.com a multi-asset broker?
Yes. Trade.com currently lists forex, shares, indices, commodities, cryptocurrencies and ETFs. However, the global offering primarily describes these as CFDs, so multi-asset access does not necessarily mean ownership of the underlying assets.
Does Trade.com offer real shares and ETFs?
The current global pages prominently describe shares CFDs and ETF CFDs. A CFD tracks the price of an underlying asset but normally does not give the customer ownership, voting rights or direct holdings in that asset.
What is the minimum deposit at Trade.com?
Trade.com’s current pages publish different figures. One FAQ says €100, while a global homepage FAQ says as little as $100 for a Silver account. Confirm the applicable amount for your jurisdiction and account before depositing.
How does Trade.com close positions automatically?
Trade.com says automatic close-out can begin when equity reaches or falls below 50%. Positions are reportedly closed starting with the one generating the largest loss until the account moves back above the relevant margin level.
Can US residents use Trade.com?
The global Trade.com website lists the United States among its excluded jurisdictions. Do not assume it is available or regulated for US residents, and do not confuse Trade.com with the separate Trading.com US operation.
How do I withdraw money from Trade.com?
The documented desktop path is Three horizontal lines → Withdraw. On mobile, use Three horizontal lines → Settings → Withdraw. Trade.com says the account must be fully verified first and that funds may be returned to the original funding source where available.
The Bottom Line
Trade.com can reasonably be described as a multi-asset broker because it offers access to several market categories through one account and multiple platforms. For the global offering, the more precise description is a multi-asset CFD broker. Customers should not assume they own shares, ETFs or cryptocurrency, and they should verify the applicable entity, fees, minimum deposit, instrument list and margin rules for their jurisdiction before funding an account.
