How to interpret a past sale price
A discount headline is useful as a record of what a retailer reportedly offered on a particular date, but it is not a current quote or a guarantee that the same price will return. Before budgeting for a purchase, check the retailer’s live listing for the exact model, memory and storage configuration, shipping status, and final checkout total. For a personal-finance decision, compare that total with what you can comfortably spend—not only with a listed MSRP or percentage-off claim.
