Diego Simeone topped the reported 2024 salaries for global club football managers, at an estimated £30 million per year. The ranking below is the November 21, 2024 snapshot published by Sporting News—not a current salary list or an audited record of club payrolls. Its tenth salary position is a tie, so the table names 11 managers across 10 ranks.
Reported highest-paid club managers in the November 2024 snapshot
Sporting News published these annual salary estimates in pounds. The figures are media-reported, not independently verified contract amounts.

How to read the salary figures
They are reported estimates, not confirmed take-home pay
Sporting News dates its list November 21, 2024 and says it draws on 2022 data, official sources and widely cited figures. It does not set out a uniform contract-level method. The figures therefore should not be treated as verified base salaries or as comparable measures of bonuses, image rights, or tax treatment.
The cutoff date matters
A separate Planet Football list published October 19, 2024 gives the same reported amounts for Simeone, Guardiola, Gerrard, Ancelotti, Arteta and Inzaghi. But it lists Erik ten Hag at £9 million and Slot at £6.8 million, and does not include Amorim. Sporting News’s later snapshot instead includes Amorim at £6.5 million and Slot at £6.2 million. These are different dated reports; combining their figures would create a ranking that neither source published.

This is a club-manager ranking, not a list of national-team coaches
The population matters: the table ranks managers of clubs around the world. National-team coach salary lists answer a different question. For example, Planet Football’s June 2024 Euro 2024 ranking, using figures attributed to Finance Football, listed England manager Gareth Southgate at £4.9 million annually and Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann at £4 million. Those figures are not additions to the club ranking.
