Tokyu Construction reported ¥13.3 billion in profit attributable to owners of parent for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026, compared with ¥6.631 billion a year earlier—roughly double on this measure. Its stock overview lists a high of ¥1,693 for that fiscal year. A later quote displayed on the company’s investor-relations page was ¥1,221.0 at 15:30 JST on September 24, 2026, below that reported high. The quote is dated; it is not an October 5 price or a claim about the stock’s all-time record.
What “profit doubled” means
Tokyu Construction’s fiscal year runs from April 1 through March 31, so FY2026 means the year ended March 31, 2026. The company’s shareholder message reports ¥13.3 billion in profit attributable to owners of parent for FY2026, versus ¥6.631 billion for FY2025. Those actual results make profit roughly twice the prior year’s level, using the same profit measure in both years. The figures are rounded differently, so “nearly doubled” is more precise than treating the comparison as an exact 2.0-times result. Tokyu Construction shareholder message; April 24, 2026 forecast revision.
The company also reported FY2026 consolidated net sales of ¥341.1 billion and operating income of ¥16.3 billion. These are separate measures: sales are revenue, operating income reflects operating results, and profit attributable to owners of parent is the bottom-line figure used for the year-over-year comparison above. They should not be treated as interchangeable or as having all doubled.
How the forecast changed—and what the company said drove it
On April 24, 2026, Tokyu Construction raised its FY2026 consolidated forecast for profit attributable to owners of parent from ¥10.3 billion to ¥13.4 billion. That was a forecast, not the final result; the company later reported actual profit of ¥13.3 billion. The revision compared the new estimate with FY2025 actual profit of ¥6.631 billion. In explaining the revision, the company said expected operating and ordinary profit had improved mainly because of higher gross profit on completed construction contracts, particularly additional and design-change work in domestic civil engineering. It also cited gains from selling investment securities as a factor in the expected increase in profit. In its later account of FY2026, the company pointed to robust domestic construction demand, on-site ingenuity using digital technology, and reflecting cost fluctuations in contract prices. These are the company’s explanations; the disclosures do not independently establish how much each factor contributed to the final year-over-year increase.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why the earnings result and share price are different questions
The reported profit comparison describes company performance over two fiscal years. The ¥1,221.0 figure is a market quote at one stated time, and ¥1,693 is the highest price listed for a particular fiscal year. A strong earnings result does not, by itself, establish why the share price was below that earlier high: the cited company figures do not provide an independent analysis of market expectations, valuation, or other forces affecting the stock.
