The TNPSC Combined Technical Services Examination (Diploma/ITI Level) 2025 is a completed recruitment cycle—not an open application. The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) issued Notification 10/2025 on 13 June 2025 for 1,910 vacancies. Applications closed on 12 July 2025 at 11:59 p.m.; the exam stages and subsequent answer-key and publication-list activity have since taken place.
What was the TNPSC CTS Diploma/ITI 2025 recruitment?
TNPSC Advertisement 712 / Notification 10/2025 invited online applications for direct recruitment through the Combined Technical Services Examination (Diploma/ITI Level). The notice listed 1,910 vacancies across a range of technical, trade and other posts. It was not a recruitment solely for Junior Engineer (JE) or Junior Technical Officer (JTO) roles; post names, codes, qualifications and vacancy distributions varied. Are applications still open?
No. The application deadline was 12 July 2025 at 11:59 p.m., and the correction window ran from 16 to 18 July 2025. Those dates have passed, so this notice is not a current opportunity to apply. These dates apply to this 2025 notification; they should not be treated as dates for a future TNPSC recruitment.
What were the eligibility requirements?
Eligibility depended on the specific post. Candidates needed to meet that post’s prescribed qualification and age conditions, including any applicable category concession. A diploma or ITI credential did not automatically qualify someone for every post in the combined examination.

For example, Junior Engineer, post code 3662, required a Diploma in Civil Engineering awarded by the State Board of Technical Education. Other posts had different discipline or trade requirements. Applicants needed to match their credential to the qualification listed for the exact post code in the notification rather than infer eligibility from a job title.
Admission and document verification
TNPSC stated that admission to examination stages was provisional. It cautioned that “Mere admission to the written examination, certificate verification, counselling or inclusion of name in the selection list will not confer on the candidates any right to appointment.” Candidates’ claims remained subject to verification, and candidature could be rejected if an incorrect claim or rule violation was confirmed. The post-specific notification governs eligibility and documentation.
What were the exam dates and structure?
Paper I comprised the Tamil Eligibility Test, General Studies, and Aptitude and Mental Ability, and was scheduled for 31 August 2025. Paper II consisted of subject papers on dates specified for the respective papers in the notification. The notice listed subject-paper dates including 7 September and 11–15 September 2025, with additional dates for other papers. The relevant subject paper and date depended on the post and examination schedule.
What was the application fee?
For this notification, the examination fee was ₹100, plus ₹100 for each additional subject paper selected, unless an exemption applied. Payment was online. These were the historical fee terms for Notification 10/2025, not fee guidance for a future recruitment.
What is the recruitment status now?
TNPSC’s official answer-key schedule includes an answer-key date of 17 October 2025 and an all-paper entry dated 25 February 2026. The TNPSC results page lists publication lists dated 10 and 24 October 2025, alongside counselling activity. These milestones show that the examination cycle moved beyond applications and exams; they do not establish every candidate’s outcome or that every post has been filled.

Do not assume that posts grouped under one combined examination are interchangeable. When a new notice appears, compare the official post-level details before deciding whether to apply:
- Exact post name and post code
- Required diploma, ITI trade or other qualification
- Age limit and any applicable category concessions
- Subject paper and exam date
- Vacancy distribution, department and service conditions
Use the notification for that recruitment cycle as the controlling source. The 2025 notice and its dates do not establish eligibility, fees, vacancies or deadlines for a later cycle.
