Time+Tide’s first Sydney Watch Discovery Studio pop-up took place on June 29–30, 2024, at QT Hotel, 49 Market Street, in the Sydney CBD. It brought the Melbourne Studio experience to Sydney for two days of one-hour watch-viewing sessions. The event has ended; its original booking invitation is no longer current.
What the Sydney pop-up offered
Time+Tide announced the event on June 6, 2024, as a way for Sydney-based watch fans to experience its Melbourne Watch Discovery Studio without travelling there. Studio managers Mitch and Alex were scheduled to show watches during one-hour sessions on Saturday and Sunday, with food and drinks also promised. Time+Tide’s event announcement quoted Managing Editor Jamie Weiss: “However, we recognise that not everyone can jump on a plane down to Melbourne just to look at some watches – so we thought we’d bring the Time+Tide Studio experience to Sydney.”
Brands announced for display
The announcement named ten brands whose watches would be on display:
- Furlan Marri
- Baltic
- Doxa
- Hamilton
- Norqain
- Mido
- Nivada Grenchen
- Fears
- Zodiac
- Studio Underd0g, including its Time+Tide collaboration, the Hand Delivered “pizza watches”
Sunday guest and attendance
Jody Musgrave, described in the announcement as the Scottish-Australian creator behind Just One More Watch and founder of Erebus, was scheduled to attend on Sunday and present Erebus.
