A separate Forbes sports-team-owner list showed $11.7 billion on March 12, 2026. Those are dated estimates from different snapshots, not a single audited figure. Sheffield Wednesday’s takeover, meanwhile, is complete: Arise Capital Partners LLC bought the club in May 2026, and the sale announcement does not name Fertitta as a buyer.
What is Tilman Fertitta’s net worth?
Forbes’ indexed real-time profile showed an estimated net worth of $11.3 billion as of October 3, 2026. A separate Forbes sports-team-owner list displayed $11.7 billion as of March 12, 2026. The two figures reflect different dates and list contexts; neither should be treated as a fixed or audited measure of Fertitta’s wealth.
Fertitta is a businessman whose holdings include Fertitta Entertainment, Landry’s, Golden Nugget Hotel and Casinos, and the Houston Rockets, according to the Rockets’ official front-office biography. Forbes’ indexed results are the basis for the dated estimates above; the profile page itself was not accessible when checked.
Who bought Sheffield Wednesday?
Sheffield Wednesday’s administrators confirmed on May 5, 2026, that the sale to Arise Capital Partners LLC was completed. The consortium was led by David Storch, alongside Michael Storch and Tom Costin. Neither the administrators’ completion announcement nor the cited BBC report identifies Fertitta as a buyer.

The club’s points situation involved separate decisions at different stages. The EFL confirmed administration on October 24, 2025, which triggered an automatic 12-point deduction. BBC Sport reported a further six-point deduction connected to missed payments. After the club exited administration, the EFL chose not to impose a planned 15-point deduction; the administrators said Wednesday would begin the upcoming season on zero points.
BBC Sport also reported that budget restrictions would remain for two seasons, while the club could still sign players. The waived 15-point deduction was an exit-from-administration decision, distinct from the earlier deductions.
