Historical auction results offer context, but they do not identify the car supposedly for sale or establish its current value.
Which classic Corvette is for sale?
The available information does not identify a particular car connected to this title. Without a listing or other authoritative record, its model year, specification, provenance, seller, and price remain unknown. That means it would be misleading to treat a Corvette from a separate historical story as the car currently being offered.

What makes a classic Corvette historic?
A car’s significance depends on evidence about that particular vehicle: its production rarity and specification, documented ownership and competition history, originality, restoration, and verified auction or sale records. A model’s reputation—or a notable result achieved by another car—does not prove the history or value of an individual listing.

Autoweek reported that a 1967 Chevrolet Corvette L88 Convertible sold for $3.2 million at Mecum’s Dallas auction in 2013. The account described it as one of 20 L88 Corvettes produced for the 1967 model year and recounted drag-racing success and restoration history. That figure is a historical transaction, not a current asking price or a market-wide valuation. Autoweek’s account of the 1967 L88 sale

A separate 2019 charity sale
The last-built 2019 Corvette Z06, a C7-generation car, sold for $2.7 million at Barrett-Jackson’s Northeast Auction in 2019, according to Mohegan Sun’s recap. Proceeds benefited the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation’s Smart Home Program. The recap quoted Barrett-Jackson chairman and CEO Craig Jackson describing it as “a new charity auction record set by the last-built C7 Corvette.” This result concerns a different car and a charity auction; it does not establish the value of an unrelated classic Corvette listing. A 1969 L88 feature is not proof of a listing
A separate Corvette Mike feature discusses a 1969 Riverside Gold L88 automatic coupe and its result at the 2025 NCRS National Convention. It does not establish that this is the car in the title or that it is currently for sale. Corvette Mike’s 1969 L88 feature

Has this Corvette set an auction record?
That cannot be determined without identifying the car and verifying its sale history. The $3.2 million and $2.7 million figures above belong to separate historical transactions, not a confirmed listing associated with this title. Auction records should also be described precisely: identify the car, auction venue, date, and whether the quoted amount is the hammer price or includes fees. These reported sale figures are individual results, not general market statistics.

- Originality and restoration: establish what is original, what was replaced, and the scope and documentation of restoration work.

Until an authoritative listing or documentation links a specific car to the claim, its seller, price, and historical milestone remain unverified.
