These are media estimates, not verified financial disclosures; the publisher itself described such figures as arbitrary because many actors do not make their salaries public.

How reliable are these net-worth figures?
They should be read as estimates published by an entertainment outlet, not as confirmed totals of the actors’ assets minus liabilities. The 2021 article’s author, Bernadette Giacomazzo, wrote: “These net worths, however, are considered arbitrary, as many Days actors don’t make their salaries public.” The article does not provide audited records or a method that independently verifies the amounts.
Net worth is also not the same thing as salary. A person’s net worth reflects assets and debts accumulated over time, while salary is income from work. The 2021 article cited a $2,000–$5,000 per-episode range for soap actors generally; it did not present that range as a salary disclosure for the Days of Our Lives cast. It also noted work outside the soap, including Sweeney’s hosting of The Biggest Loser and Hallmark movies involving Hall.

Why do reports from different years disagree?
Published estimates can change by outlet and date, and repeated figures do not amount to independent verification. Showbiz Cheat Sheet’s February 28, 2020 article, “The Richest ‘Days of Our Lives’ Star Has Made a Fortune From the Show,” put Hall at $10 million and John Aniston at $10 million. The List’s February 8, 2022 article, “How Rich Are The Most Famous Days Of Our Lives Cast Members?”, reported Hall at $12 million and Aniston at $10 million.
Those are date-specific publisher estimates, not evidence that the actors’ actual wealth rose or stayed constant. They also should not be combined with the 2021 figures to create a single ranking: the reports cover different years and do not establish a common calculation method.
