The most specific figures available are secondary reports published in 2017 about pay around seasons six through eight—not confirmed contract terms or current salaries.
What salary figures were reported for the leads?
A November 9, 2017, ComicBook.com report gave approximate per-episode figures for Andrew Lincoln and Norman Reedus, while noting that reports about Reedus’s earlier pay conflicted. The article did not cite actor contracts or an official pay disclosure.

| Actor | Reported amount | Period or qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Andrew Lincoln | About $92,000 per episode | Reported as of season six in ComicBook.com’s 2017 article. |
| Andrew Lincoln | About $618,000 per episode | Later reports cited by the 2017 article for seasons seven and eight; not a confirmed contract figure. |
| Norman Reedus | $80,000 or $124,000 per episode | Earlier figures that the 2017 article said varied across reports. |
| Norman Reedus | About $550,000 per episode | Reported by the 2017 article as the figure ahead of season eight. |
These are reported claims, not a consistent, verified record of what either actor received. They identify different periods and, in Reedus’s case, show that published figures did not agree. The report also described some cast estimates as based on estimated net worth rather than definitive per-episode reporting.
Why do published numbers differ?
Salary claims can be repeated without a clear season, contract period, or original source. Even two figures for the same actor may refer to different points in a series’ run—or one may be a later report that was never confirmed by the studio or actor.
#1 Best Overall
For example, an undated Canal 5 / Televisa article, attributing its information to Primicias YA, gives Lincoln $92,000 and Reedus $124,000 per episode. Its page does not show when the figures were published, and they do not establish current pay. The Reedus figure also reflects the disagreement among earlier reports noted by ComicBook.com.
To assess a salary claim, check whether it names the season or contract period, identifies the amount as reported or estimated rather than confirmed, and traces it to an original source rather than a chain of repetitions. Per-episode pay is not the same thing as a complete compensation package: the available reports do not establish comparable terms for bonuses or other compensation.

What is known about the rest of the cast?
The 2017 report does not provide definitive per-episode figures for several other series regulars. The available reporting therefore does not support a reliable ranking of the full cast by salary. It also does not support calculating lifetime earnings: the cited amounts cover reported per-episode rates for particular periods, not complete pay histories or episode totals.
Are the salaries confirmed by AMC or public filings?
No individual actor salary disclosure appears in the official AMC and SEC materials identified for this topic. AMC’s Form 10-Q for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 discusses streaming rights, not cast compensation; it does not verify the figures in the older press reports.

- The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live - Season 1 [DVD]
AMC’s official pages identify the franchise and cast context: AMC’s franchise page identifies Robert Kirkman as creator of the comics and co-creator, writer, and executive producer of the television adaptation, while AMC’s Norman Reedus biography identifies his role as Daryl. These official sources establish context, not pay.

No. AMC’s 2026 filing says US Netflix co-exclusive streaming rights for the original The Walking Dead begin January 6, 2027, while AMC retains the right to exhibit the shows on its own services. That is a distribution arrangement; it does not disclose or confirm what any actor earns.
