For a custom cake, Costco’s app FAQ says to order at least three days ahead; same-day cake delivery has separate rules at select locations.

Place an order in the Costco app
- Sign in to the Costco app and make sure your account is connected to a verified membership.
- Open the Warehouse tab and go to Warehouse Ordering.
- Choose the available cake options and submit the order. Costco’s FAQ says custom cakes cannot be ordered on Costco.com.
- Use the confirmation email for order details and pickup instructions. Contact the selected warehouse to make changes or cancel.
Costco’s app FAQ says that, at the time of its July 15, 2026 publication, only cookie trays and custom cakes could be ordered in advance through the app. Paper orders for custom cakes are also accepted in store.

Order early and check the cake limit
Costco’s app FAQ says to place a custom cake order at least three days ahead, and allows orders up to two weeks in advance. An online order can include up to five cakes with the same customization. If you need different designs, place separate orders; for more than five cakes, contact the warehouse you selected.
Can you get a Costco bakery cake delivered?
Costco’s same-day service help page describes custom cake delivery at select locations. For that service, it gives a separate 48-hour lead time and says the cake and groceries are delivered together. The same page says delivery can be scheduled up to five days ahead. These are rules for the same-day service described there; they are separate from the app FAQ’s three-day minimum for custom cake orders.
Because service coverage and timing depend on location and ordering channel, check the delivery options shown for your address before planning around a cake order.
