And a quick fill is only one part of execution quality: the price you receive, trading costs, fill likelihood and order size matter too.
How fast does Volity say it executes trades?
Volity’s public execution policy states that 99.6% of trades are executed in less than one second. It also advertises “Strictly No Re-quotes and No Virtual Dealer Plug-in” and “100% Execution Rate With No Orders Rejected.” The page does not provide independent testing methods or third-party performance data for these claims, so treat them as Volity’s representations rather than verified results. The reviewed page does not state a publication date.
Volity says its trading service is available through a dashboard, a browser-based platform called Volity Web with TradingView charts, and a mobile PWA for iOS and Android. It says balances, positions and watchlists sync in real time. Its policy lists forex trading as available 24/5, crypto 24/7, and trading hours for other CFDs as varying by asset.
What does execution speed tell you—and what does it leave out?
Speed measures how quickly an order is executed; it does not, by itself, tell you whether the fill was at a favorable price or whether the trade was profitable. Faster execution does not guarantee a better price, eliminate slippage or reduce the risk of a loss.

Volity says the best-execution process used by its execution provider, UBK Markets, considers price, costs, speed, the likelihood of execution and settlement, order size, and other relevant factors. It says price and total cost tend to dominate for most retail orders in liquid CFDs, while execution likelihood matters more for larger orders or less liquid instruments. These are the provider’s stated considerations, not evidence of a particular outcome on an individual trade.
A useful general framework comes from Arthur Levitt, then chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. In a November 4, 1999 speech to the Securities Industry Association in Boca Raton, Florida, he said: “Best execution encompasses a number of factors starting with the price of the execution and the opportunity for price improvement. Other factors include speed and likelihood of execution.” He also said, “In any case, the quality of execution must always be viewed from the customer’s perspective, not the firm’s.” This is a historical framework, not a current SEC assessment of Volity.

How to compare execution quality
When comparing brokers or platforms, look beyond a headline speed figure. Useful questions include:
- How was speed measured? Check whether a figure has a stated measurement method, period, order type and independent verification.
- What price did customers receive? Look for information about slippage or price improvement, not just time to fill.
- How likely is a fill? Compare execution likelihood, rejected orders and requotes, with definitions and evidence for each claim.
- What is the total cost? Include spreads, commissions and overnight charges, rather than considering one fee in isolation.
- How does order size affect the result? Fill likelihood and price may matter more for larger orders or less liquid instruments.
- Who executes the trades, and where? Review the provider and routing policy, alongside account eligibility and local rules.
Levitt also cautioned against treating speed as the only measure. In the same 1999 speech, he said: “Sometimes, the invocation of speed rings as a hollow rationalization for selling order flow or capturing the spread on internally executed orders.” The point is to assess the customer’s overall result, not to assume that a fast fill is automatically the best one.

The speech included historical examples that should not be mistaken for current Volity performance or fees. It said that, among 81 options that had recently become multiply listed, 76 percent experienced a narrowing of 15 percent or more since August. In a separate hypothetical involving a one-cent-per-share payment for order flow on 1,000 shares and possible price improvement of 1/16, it said the customer would have overpaid by $52.50 even if the broker passed along the entire rebate. Those figures belong to the speech’s 1999 context and assumptions.
What trading costs does Volity disclose?
Volity’s fees and spreads page says Markets accounts have no trading commission and Pro accounts cost $2 per lot per side. It says spreads are dynamic and can change with market conditions. Positions held past 22:00 GMT may incur or receive an overnight holding fee, depending on the position and product.

Forex and CFDs traded on margin carry a high risk of loss and may not be suitable for all investors. Volity warns that retail clients could lose their deposited funds, while professional and eligible-counterparty clients may sustain losses exceeding their deposits. Execution speed is not a risk-control measure.
