There is no reliable, publicly established net-worth figure for each of the six principal actors who played James Bond in the Eon film series. Celebrity-wealth rankings offer estimates, but they mix measures such as total wealth, Bond-related earnings and wealth at death. They do not support a verified richest-to-poorest ranking.
Which actors are included?
This comparison covers the six principal Eon-series Bond actors identified by the James Bond official site: Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig. David Niven, who played Bond in the non-Eon film Casino Royale, is outside this scope.

| Roger Moore | Live and Let Die (1973) to A View to a Kill (1985) |
| Timothy Dalton | The Living Daylights (1987) to Licence to Kill (1989) |
| Pierce Brosnan | GoldenEye (1995) to Die Another Day (2002) |
| Daniel Craig | Began with Casino Royale (2006) |
The official retrospective says Moore played Bond in seven films over twelve years. That describes his franchise tenure, not his personal fortune. Film count alone cannot establish wealth: it says nothing about an actor’s other work, investments, assets, debts, taxes or estate arrangements.
Why there is no dependable net-worth ranking
No credible primary source was identified that provides comparable personal net-worth disclosures for all six actors. The available figures come from secondary entertainment or property coverage, not audited statements or a common financial study.
#1 Best Overall
A LoveMoney ranking covers all six, but its figures and snippets mix labels such as “total wealth” and Bond-related earnings. A realestate.com.au article reports an estimated US$350 million (A$504 million) for Connery at his death. These are publisher-attributed estimates, not verified disclosures; the labels do not necessarily describe the same thing or use the same method.
Repeating a figure across outlets does not make it independently verified. Even the reported figures for Craig and Connery appear in differing rankings and contexts. Without consistent definitions, dates and primary documentation, sorting the actors by those numbers would create a false sense of precision.

How to read a reported figure
- Check the label. “Net worth,” “Bond earnings” and wealth estimated at death are different measures. A Bond salary or earnings estimate is not a lifetime net-worth figure.
- Keep the source attached. If a publication gives an amount, report its publisher, publication date, currency and exact description, and call it an estimate.
- Do not treat a ranking as a financial record. Celebrity-wealth roundups are secondary estimates; they are not equivalent to audited disclosures.
- Avoid a definitive order. Mixed estimates cannot establish which actor was richest.
What can be stated with confidence
The official Bond retrospective identifies the actors’ film starts and finishes, and describes Moore’s run as seven films over twelve years. Those are franchise facts. They do not reveal how much any actor earned from Bond, much less the value of their overall wealth.
For the six actors’ personal net worth, a comparable, authoritative figure has not been established. The most accurate answer is therefore that published amounts are estimates with varying labels, not a verified net-worth ledger.
