Which Birkin bags were reported in Jeffree Star’s collection?
PurseBop’s June 15, 2019 account of Star’s closet tour named two Niloticus Crocodile Himalayan Birkins in different sizes, along with a Diamond Exotic Birkin. The article described the Himalayan bags as among his most expensive and rare pieces; it did not provide an individual purchase price or current valuation for either one. “Himalayan” refers to the distinctive pale, graduated coloring associated with these crocodile-skin Birkins; it is not a claim that the bags are made in the Himalayas. How does that reported figure compare with market prices?
Sotheby’s July 2026 overview lists Diamond Himalaya Birkins at $150,000–$450,000+ on the secondary market. This is a broad category range, not a valuation of Star’s bags, and it should not be used to infer what he paid or what a particular example would sell for. Sotheby’s traces the first Birkin to 1985, when Hermès created a bag for Jane Birkin after she met the company’s chief executive, Jean-Louis Dumas.
