When was The Cheese Shop Raclette Melt in Kalamunda?
PerthNow reported on 14 May 2025 that The Cheese Shop planned to bring back its Raclette Melt on 24 May 2025. The date is historical, not an upcoming event. The sources available do not establish the shop’s current event schedule as of 8 October 2026, so check the shop’s official channels before making plans.
The shop is at 16 Haynes Street, Kalamunda, in the Perth Hills, according to Experience Perth Hills. The Bickley Harvest Festival visitor listing also refers to the 24 May 2025 Raclette Melt; it does not confirm a later date.
Why was the Raclette Melt return announced?
The April 2025 event had been scheduled to run from 10am to 2pm, but PerthNow reported that the food sold out at about 11:40am. The same report said more than 1,000 people turned out, attributing that figure to the shop’s thank-you post; it was not an independently audited attendance count.

The Raclette Melt was raclette cheese scraped from the wheel onto fresh baguette, topped with cornichon pickles and Spanish jamon. PerthNow reproduced the shop’s announcement, which described service as running from 10am to 2pm “or until sold out.”
How did the shop respond to the early sell-out?
For the 24 May return, The Cheese Shop said it had brought in extra staff and a second grilling station to serve customers more promptly. The announcement described a plan to increase serving capacity; it does not establish how quickly the later event served visitors or whether food remained available until 2pm.
