The GPS Apple Watch SE was a sensible entry point for an iPhone owner who did not need Apple’s premium health features. The reported $170 price applied to the 40mm version; the 44mm model was around $200.
The SE lacks an always-on display and some advanced health functions. GPS models also depend on an iPhone for certain connected features. Confirm the case size and whether you actually need cellular service before comparing prices.

iPad 9th generation — $199, $130 off
The 9th-generation iPad was the budget pick, but it used an older design with a physical Home button and 64GB of storage. Its low price made sense for basic browsing, streaming and family use; it was not automatically the better value than the 10th-generation model. Storage, accessory compatibility and expected software longevity matter more than the headline discount.
MacBook Air: M2 at $749 or M3 at $849
The 13-inch M2 MacBook Air was listed at $749, while the M3 version was $849; both were advertised as $250 discounts. Choose the M2 for basic school, office and web work at the lowest cost. The M3 made more sense if the $100 premium bought you a newer processor and more long-term headroom.
Do not compare these prices without checking RAM and storage. A discounted base configuration can be poor value if your workload requires more memory or space.

MagGo 10K power bank — $60, $30 off
This phone-focused power bank combined Qi2 wireless charging, a battery-percentage display and a built-in kickstand. It was a strong accessory deal for compatible phones, particularly buyers who valued convenience over maximum wired speed.
Qi2 compatibility must be checked for the phone and case. Wireless charging is generally less efficient than wired charging, so the advertised capacity will not equal usable output after conversion losses. Confirm that the listing is the same generation and includes the expected accessories.

“240W” is a maximum capability, not a promise that every device receives 240W. Actual output depends on the port, charging protocol, cable and device.

Sony WH-1000XM5 — $298, about $101–$102 off
Sony’s WH-1000XM5 was one of the strongest premium audio picks. The cited strengths included sound quality, active noise cancellation, multipoint connectivity and approximately 30 hours of battery life. Fit and sound preferences are subjective, however, and the price was specific to October 2024.
Check that a listing is actually for the XM5 rather than the older XM4 or a newer successor. Compare current prices before treating this historical figure as a bargain.
Bose QuietComfort — $199, $150 off
The standard Bose QuietComfort was the comfort-and-noise-cancellation choice at $199. It was less expensive than the Bose QuietComfort Ultra, which was listed at $329, and cheaper than the Sony WH-1000XM5.

Soundcore Space A40 — $45, $35 off
At $45, the Space A40 was the budget earbud standout: ANC, multipoint connectivity, wireless charging and a comfortable fit. Engadget described the price as a record low at the time, but that statement was limited to its October 2024 tracking.
Earbud fit varies widely. Check the return policy, exact color, firmware and seller, especially where Amazon listings combine multiple variations and reviews.
